Our host today is Josh Matthews. He runs the card for Armageddon.

In the ring, JBL and posse are there. He is getting screwed. JBL says he already beat Eddy, Booker and UT in single’s matches. Now he could lose without getting pinned. This is all the SD GM’s fault. The lights go out, come back and the UT is in the ring! He’s got JBL by the throat, but Bashams are on the attack. Whip, double clothesline by Undertaker. Chokeslam to Doug Basham. Chokeslam to Danny Basham.
Backstage, JBL, Weber and OJ meet with Theodore Long. All of them insult Long, then Long says nobody is allowed to be in JBL’s corner at Armageddon. JBL is about to leave when the Bashams tell him there is a problem: a security breach. The limo lost a tire. Eddy’s music and out he comes with the tire. The gist of the interview is lame jokes about the tire. JBL is not happy. One bizarre thing Eddy says is “real steel”. What does that mean? Is it a word play with “steal” and “steel”? I DON’T GET IT! When WWE does “lame” angles, critics say that it insults their intelligence. How? I have no idea. THIS on the other hand does. Michael Cole is basically saying if you don’t get it, you’re an idiot. If it is a word play, the joke doesn’t make sense. Anyway, a funny thing happens as JBL goes inside the broken limo.

We’re back with Josh talking about how a battle royal works. Over the top, check. Both feet touch the floor, check.
JIP, battle royal for the #1 contendership. We have Funaki, London, Kidman, Chavo, Akio, Nunzio and Shannon Moore. Flying headscissors by Nunzio on Akio, with an extra twist. Backbody drop by Akio to Nunzio, but lands on the apron. Nunzio fights back, goes to the second rope and Akio dropkicks him out of there. Spike is looking on. Chavo with Kidman, London with Akio and Moore with Funaki. Chavo with a tilt-a-world on Kidman. Dropkick from London to Akio and Akio goes through the ropes. London goes over the rope by Kidman. Five men left. Funaki and Akio battle it out. Kidman tries to eliminate Chavo as Akio superkicks Moore. Man, I can’t wait for the Royal Rumble. Stiff chop by Akio takes Funaki. Whip to the buckle by Akio, Funaki crotches Akio and Moore dropkicks him out of there. Jumping leg lariat by Moore to Funaki. Kidman with a dropkick to Moore. Back and forth by Chavo and Kidman, ends with a hurrincarana by Chavo. Moore ducks an enziguri from Funaki, then gives him a neckbreaker. Chavo beats on Kidman. Chavo and Funaki try to eliminate Kidman, but no. Bulldog by Funaki on Kidman. Backbody drop on Moore to the outside by Funaki. 3 men left. Chavo tries to eliminate Kidman, but Funaki eliminates both Chavo and Kidman. FUNAKI is going to Armageddon!

Afterburn returns with Josh talking about Horoku-Torrie.
We see Torrie getting some pictures taken. She gets some flowers from Kenzo Suzuki and calls him a jerk. Horoku hears it and gets angry. She takes off Torrie’s clothes, leaving her bra and panties. Torrie runs after her and tears Horoku’s clothes. Torrie goes in the ring, while Horoku keeps running away. Rene Dupree and Kenzo come to get Torrie. RVD and Rey Mysterio arrive to save the day. SD GM comes and says since they can’t get along, let them get it on. Tag team title match -> right now!
JIP, Rey Mysterio and RVD vs Rene Dupree and Kenzo Suzuki. Dupree and RVD are legal. RVD kicks Dupree. Tag to Rey, tag to Kenzo. Rey kicks Kenzo, whip, reverse, kick to Kenzo after a charge. Rey to the top, butt drop to Kenzo. Baseball slide to Rene Dupree. A cool DDT for a 2 count. Kenzo with a chop, suplex attempt, no, elbow by Kenzo, too much action to call. Thesz Press by Rey. RVD with an assisted moonsault, then RVD with the Rolling Thunder. Rey gets a 2 count, because Rene drags Mysterio out. Baseball by RVD to Dupree. Kenzo in position for the 619, Bang! Rene gives Rey a Spinebuster. RVD with flying kick to Dupree. Horoku puts Kenzo’s arm over Rey. Two count. Kenzo chops RVD. Rey with a rollup and an assist from RVD for 1, 2, 3. New tag team champions!

We’re back with Afterburn.
Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak and Luther Rains are in the ring. Who’s the next challenger? From South Carolina, Big Show? Angle knows that Big Show wants to take him out, so that Big Show could wrestle two men at Armageddon. Luther takes the mic and says he wants Big Show to wrestle him. “Him” being Mark Jindrak of course.
Big Show vs Jindrak. Show with headbutts and kicks. Beal, headbutt and a couple of (Shhh) chops. The beating continues. Dropkick to Big Show’s knee. Punches by Mark, off the ropes, big boot by Show. Luther on the apron, Luther off the apron. Angle goes in and gets a big boot. Mark with choplock. Luther goes in and Angle with a chair shot. Angle brings the stairs and throws them at Big Show. That’s it? Hit him again!

We’re back with our final segment of Afterburn.
JIP. JBL, OJ and Bashams vs UT, Booker T and Eddy Guerrero. JBL has Eddy in a sleeper. Eddy gets out of it with a suplex. JBL with shoulder knock down for a 2 count. Whip to the buckle, Eddy with an elbow, JBL catches a bodypress, going for fallaway slam, Eddy with a DDT. Tag to OJ, tag to UT. UT with right hands, whip to the buckle, snake eyes, a big boot and a leg drop. Undertaker beats on the Bashams. Clothesline to each in the corner. Everybody in the ring now. JBL has the title, but Eddy ducks it. Eddy knocks him down. Bashams and OJ are thrown out. Now, JBL is surrounded. Eddy and Booker with punches, big boot by UT and a superkick by Booker. Tombstone coming up, no, UT got OJ by the throat, chokeslam! Eddy and Booker T are fighting off the Bashams. Scissors kick to OJ. Eddy to the top, frogsplash to OJ. Tombstone by UT for the cover, the count and the victory. The four competitors look at each other.
