InsidePulse’s WWE Sunday Night Heat Report 12.26.04

Archive

I was wondering what we’d get for Heat, with RAW being a best of show, so…we get more best of RAW 2004! Hey, better than the usual programming.

Taped from the WWE Studios
Hosts are Todd Grisham & Johnathan Coachman

We start off with the HILLARIOUS MNF rip-off.

Next, we pick up Y2J/Christian with … Y2J getting a Northern Lights Suplex for 2, twice. Jericho gets a Bulldog, but Christain gets his knees up for the Lionsault. We cut to Trish running out, and Christian getting a SUPER DDT for 2, twice. Trish gets on the apron, so Christian drags her in, but Y2J saves. Trish, though, “accidently” hits Chris, and Christian gets a roll-up for 3. Afterwards, Trish turns heel and makes out with Christian.

We get a video pakcage of Eugene breaking out in the WWE.

A video package covers the Lita/Kane wedding, thus cutting out the Trish Stratus walk in. Damn.

We see an extended version of the Benjamin videos, which I think are very well done. It looks like wrestling really saved his life.

That leads into Benjamin/HHH with…HHH going for a Pedigree, but Shelton slips out. Benjamin gets a backslide for a quick 2. We cut to Shleton getting some right hands in the corner, but H drops him. Benjamin comes back with a powerslam for 2. Pedigree reversed to an inside cradle for 2. Splash in the corner and Benjamin gets the upset of the year. I’ll admit, that was pretty awesome.

Oh yeah, a commercial reminds me of how awesome Halo 2. Can’t wait to play that baby online.

We get a video package recapping…Smackdown!? Well, I understand.

Video package covering the RAW Diva Disaster.

Coach says he saw Blade:Trinity and he loved it. Well, he’s one of the few.

We pick up HBK/Benoit/HHH with…Chris going for the Sharpshooter, but settling for a catapault into the turnbuckle, and Michaels bleeds, and…the screen goes grey. Huh? Anyways, Benoit goes for the Crossface, but HHH literally prevents him from tapping. Back to normal color, and HHH eats steps, served by Benoit. Chris CHOPS him, but gets thrown into steps. HHH clears the SD! table, and him and Benoit fight on the spanish one. Benoit looks to go for a german(!), but HHH stops it, and looks to go for a Pedigree, but Benoit fights back. Michaels comes back, and Benoit finally gets double suplexed through the SD! announce table. Damn. We’re back to grey by the way. Is that suppose to make it more dramatic? We cut to HHH getting the Pdeigree, but Benoit saves. Commercial. Back, and Benoit counters the Pedigree with the Sharpshooter. That allows Michaels to hit him with the Sweet Chin Music. It gets 2. Benoit dumps Michaels, but HHH goes for a Pedigree, but its countered into a Crossface, and HHH taps to make Benoit the Heavyweight Champion.

I was actually hoping they would show some stuff off of the RAW only ppvs, as I’ve never seen any of that stuff. Oh well.

That’s it for Heat, but this Thursday I’ll actually be doing a SD! report, alongside Brad. What kind? You decide. Yes I haven’t come up with a good idea of how to cover SD!. Obviously, the two main options is a report like Brad’s or one like Keith’s. But I really wanna try something different and new, so feel free to give me some feedback and suggestions.
