Episode 1.14: Special

Fatherhood tests Michael, who is desperate for the affection of his 10-year-old son, Walt, and whose backstory reveals turmoil, tragedy and a chilling confidence regarding Walt, that “when [he’s] around, things happen.”
Episode 14 will be the Walt/Michael backstory. It will be called “Special” — and will introduce Frank Duckett, a “cowboy” with a whiff of danger about him and Laurence, a Jimmy Buffetesque type.
Violence ensues and a mysterious island beast makes a re-appearance when Michael and Locke clash over Walt’s upbringing. Meanwhile, Charlie is tempted to read the missing Claire’s diary, and Sayid enlists Shannon to help decipher the French woman’s map.
In flashbacks, Michael has a leg in a cast and is sitting in a wheelchair at the hospital. We will also see Walt as a baby.
