According to his official website, Beck will finally release the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Sea Change on 29 March. The album, entitled Guero, will mark an attempted return to the “junkyard funk” sound of Beck’s earlier days after the sparse acoustic soundscapes of Sea Change. The first single, E-Pro, will hit radio stations next week.
Personally, I’d prefer to see Beck continue in the vein he started with Sea Change. Sea Change was my #1 album the year it released, and it’s still in my Top Five of all time.
