Brad Pitt will play Jesse James for an untitled western piece to be directed by Andrew Dominik (Chopper), according to Variety. The project is based on the Robert Hansen novel The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
The book tells the story of the famous, wild-tempered outlaw Jesse James and how he came to his demise by a young gang member named Robert Ford.
Pitt will also produce the picture with his Plan B Films company, along with Brad Grey and Jennifer Aniston.
