Smackdown play-by-play man Michael Cole was interviewed Friday morning on KRZR-FM 103.7 in Fresno. Some of his comments included:
– The Basham Brothers will be defending the Tag Titles on HEAT against yet-to-be-named opponents…
– He wasn’t sure who would be calling the main event, but hoped that since Tazz and Ross did it last year, he and King would this year.
– On the 15th Smackdown participant in the Rumble: “Although only 14 Smackdown stars have been entered…note that Teddy Long has promised to add the 15th member after the 3 way WWE Championship match between Big Show, JBL and Kurt Angle.”
– On Brock Lesnar: “Anything can happen in the WWE…Brock definitely would cause some waves in the Title picture right now if he did indeed return.”
– On Hulk Hogan: “I personally would love to see [Hogan be inducted into the Hall of Fame] … Hulk Hogan love him or hate him has given more to the sport than anyone else bar none…he put ‘WWE’ on the map.”
– On RAW talent he’d like to see on Smackdown: “I would love to see Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton or Batista on Smackdown…HBK vs. Angle or Guerrero would be phenomenal…as would a JBL/Batista feud.”
