Thank you for bearing with us all day as our poor servers had to hold up against 10 times the amount of traffic we expect on a normal Monday. The good news is, the database didn’t actually crash once, though it did occassionally max out on connections, which caused a few of you to load a screen full of mysql errors… and when you didn’t get a screen full of errors, you were waiting minutes to get information.
The bad news is, some of you probably got really upset waiting for your Royal Rumble news.
Well, the even better news is this: after some fiddling and crunching, promises of taking the server out for a hooker and a coke binge, and a giant fan: you should already be noticing a marked improvement page load time. This should be the norm now, and the ridiculously long page load times you experienced earlier should never happen again.
Bear with us over the next couple of days while we get the kinks worked out of the new system… but, at the very least, you should be able to see the kinks in 1/8th the time as it took you today.
Thanks for sticking with us, folks. We do appreciate it.
