[WWE] Update On Georgia Developmental System

Archive

WWE has reportedly found or is close to finding a facility in Griffin, Georgia to house the new developmental territory that has been talked about over the past few months. The territory is scheduled to kick into high gear shortly, with one WWE source believing it would be running by the end of March.
It is still believed that Bill Behrens of NWA Wildside and formerly of TNA, will be involved with the developmental territory, although nothing has been 100% confirmed.
In regard to the discussion of his involvement and rumors of shutting down his own company, Behrens posted the following on his NWA-Wildside.com-

I appreciate that some of you want a final answer on WILDSIDE, me, WWE, and stuff like that, and that some of you are rushing to establish end dates I’m not yet sure are correct. Rather than making announcements about WILDSIDE based on rumor, I ask that you all be patient. Neither WWE nor myself have made any official announcement about anything relating to the Atlanta area “development” system. Likely that means that there is not yet any official announcement to make. Currently I am 3rd party booker for TNA.
Right now we are heading toward Hardcore Hell 2005, March 25-26, and I plan for it to be the biggest and best ever, and that show is weeks away with three TV tapings preceding it on 2/19, 3/5 & 3/19. Returning at Hardcore Hell are AJ Styles, David Young, Romeo Bliss, Scottie Wrenn………and much more.
If fans want to share Wildside memories that’s very cool, but bear in mind we have quite a bit yet to happen that might be pretty cool too. Perhaps, as the Capenters sang, “We’ve only just begun”. Thank you.
