Former Smackdown General Manager Stephanie McMahon-Levesque ran last night’s Pay Per View due to Vince McMahon being on the sidelines with quad injuries. Stephanie and husband Triple H have been running TV tapings recently, but Triple H was not at last night’s PPV due to him working the Erie, PA, RAW house show.
Dave Scherer of PWInsider.com is reporting that “people in the company are telling me that they are concerned about the long-term health of the company with Steph in charge, unless she makes some changes in the way she does her job.” Apparently, she isn’t as open to criticism as her father, has seemed “over her head,” and the fear is that more of the backstage team will become yes men rather than those willing to criticize the boss.
The general reaction to No Way Out from WWE employees, according to Scherer, has been that the show was at most “fair.”
