OHIO VALLEY WRESTLING ANNOUNCES NEXT TRYOUT CAMP!

Ohio Valley Wrestling, The official developmental territory of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), will hold it’s next tryout camp April 15, 16, & 17 in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s purpose is finding new talent for OVW and , potentially, the WWE. The objective is to find those individuals with the talent, look, and drive necessary to succeed in pro wrestling. Those that impress will be invited to join OVW’s training program, where they can learn alongside WWE developmental talent and be seen regularly by the top decision-makers in the sport. Past tryout camp attendees who have continued in OVW include current WWE contract talents Tank Toland, Antonio “The Promise” Thomas, and Jillian Hall, as well as current OVW Champion, Elijah Burke.

2005 started with a bang for OVW as Batista and John Cena, both OVW trainees, were the finalists in the Royal Rumble. They join Randy Orton, Shelton Benjamin, Eugene, Mohammed Hassan, La Resistance, Gene Snisky, Charlie Haas, The Bashams, Rene Dupree, Luther Reigns, Heidenreich, Victoria, and others on the WWE roster who received part or all of their professional training in OVW. Currently, there are two dozen men and women under WWE contract training in OVW, as well as a number of “homegrown” talent under consideration to be signed. If you think YOUR name belongs on that list, the OVW tryout camp is the place to prove it!!!

Attendees will be interviewed, evaluated, run through drills, and observed in training matches by OVW officials Danny Davis and Jim Cornette, top OVW talent, and guest instructors. Conditioning, appearance, attitude, and potential to learn will all be taken into consideration.

For current pro wrestlers at the independent level, this is an opportunity to learn the style you will need to make it in the major leagues. For those with no training, this is an opportunity to have your potential evaluated by experts.

To attend, you must first be accepted. Fill out the application on our website, www.ovwrestling.com, and submit it either via email or regular mail to OVW at 4400 Shepherdsville Road, Louisville, KY 40218. Applications accompanied by photos will receive stronger consideration. You will be notified within 10-14 days after receipt if you are accepted. It will then be your responsibility to “Lock-In” your spot by submitting the $595.00 tuition fee.

For this fee, campers will receive 3 days of instruction, transportation to and from the hotel to the Davis Arena, and 3 nights lodging in the hotel (Thursday 4/14, Friday 4/15, and Saturday 4/16). Applicants are responsible for their own transportation into Louisville on Thursday 4/14, and back home Sunday 4/17 after 6pm. Those visiting to stay until Monday will receive a special rate at the hotel for an additional night.
