Recapped: Lost – Episode 16

Archive

Well, American Idol won once again last night in the ratings competition with the other networks, but I’m not completely surprised at this. I’m just happy that Lost was able to trounce Fox in the 8 PM slot, knocking out CBS’ “60 Minutes” and the terrible two-some of “That 70’s Show” and “The Simple Life 3”. I can’t even believe they’ve been allowed to put on one version of that damn reality show. Anyway, Alias is just getting whooped. But that’s just because I haven’t been watching it (I’m just kidding, I don’t have a Nielsen box so what I watch does not matter one bit).

Anyway, onto the mailbag for this week:

John,

A “Lost” Idea

Cloning, the island hosted cloning experiments. That way Ethan can come
back. That is why there are polar bears there. The more advanced subjects
have temper issues making them dangerous. The BMT is an incubator. The
black rock, highly magnetic, screwing with the compasses and probably
causing some climate issues like
full moon extreme high tides etc..

A “Lost” prediction

Jack does not get any guns back into the marshals case.

Well, pretty sure that the Lost prediction wasn’t true, as the Good Doctor managed to get everything back into the case, but as for the “Lost” idea, I’ve heard it before and I don’t know what to think about it, much like the other theories that have been presented about the secret behind the islands. Cloning seems like such a copout, but there’s no way to find out without watching the episode itself, is there?

Hey John didnt read your entire recap as i was fortunate enough to have a Wednesday off and scurried home so i could catch Lost. I’m still perplexed
as ever as to what is going on and i don’t think we are any closer to answers. I was kind of thinking obviously something supernatural has to be
going on on the island with Sayid and Un-Sawyer hearing voices, Walt’s psychic powers, and Locke regaining the use of his legs. With that said im certain that Claire’s baby is going to play a strong role in the series down the road what if the child is actually like Christ or the Anti-Christ? I don’t have any strong evidence to support this but it’s just a hunch.

Claire’s baby being the Anti-Christ is almost a foregone conclusion at this point, but the fact that they’ve decimated Ethan now at the hands of Charlie makes me wonder if there is going to be another bad guy to step up and take advantage of Claire’s baby to raise it in the dark side. Perhaps Locke will be the one to do this? Oh, and Sayid and Sawyer hearing things and Locke’s miracle healing might have something to do with the island, but Walt was a special little boy long before he crashed on the island, as is evident by his ability to make the bird kamikaze into the window. At this point, I’m just too captivated by the series at a whole to try and make guesses, but I do it anyway for you guys.

On with the recap!

Previously, on Lost: No previously, but go ahead and click the link to read what happened on the last episode. It’s a good-un.

Open on the eye of Jin, as he looks out onto the ocean, silent and inactive, as we shake things up a bit and go right into a…

…flashback with Jin and Some Random Businessman, as the two men sit opposite each other in a rather expansive office. The man finishes signing some papers, and then asks Jin why he wants to marry his daughter. I assume that Sun is meant by “his daughter”, but knowing Lost it could be Jin actually wanted to marry someone else before he might Sun. I doubt it, though. Jin tells him that his ambitions are to open a restaurant and some day own a hotel, but Sun’s father wants to know what Jin’s father thinks of the marriage. Unfortunately, Jin’s father is dead. Sun’s father asks Jin what he would do for his daughter, and Jin says that he would do anything, even work for Sun’s father. Why give up his dreams of a restaurant/hotel business so easily? Because Sun is his dream. Sun’s father stands and extends his hand, shaking it with Jin as Jin bows respectfully.

…back to the beach, as Jin watches Sun go near the water in a rather skimpy bathing suit. Jin immediately goes up to the very hot-looking Sun, immediately trying to cover her up. Sun fights it as much as possible as the rest of the beach-dwellers look on with passiveness, even though Claire thinks that they should step in somehow, Charlie doesn’t see what they could do. Finally, Michael arrives and sees Jin forcing Sun around and almost dragging her away from the beach, so Michael’s manly instincts kick in and he runs up to Jin, pushing her away from Sun and warning him that if he pulls Sun around like that again, something bad will go down…but Sun interjects and slaps Michael swiftly across the face. Sun and Michael stare at each other for a few moments, and then Sun takes Jin away with him, as they both look back at Michael, shocked by the slap. (Fun tidbit: Jin is still wearing half a handcuff from the pair of handcuffs that was sliced by Michael’s axe in an earlier episode)

LOST. Yo.

And now, a word from our sponsors… I have a good feeling that Jin is going to find out that Sun speaks English by the end of the night. Whether or not it results in something overly terrible should be interesting to see.

Returning in the caves with Jin and Sun, as Jin observes the watch and asks Sun what his deal is with Michael. Sun assures him that nothing is going on, but Jin’s look doesn’t show that he’s convinced…

…as we go into another flashback with Sun and Some Random Chick as Sun is putting on her dress for her wedding reception with Jin. Once again, Sun is looking overly hot. The woman comments on how happy Sun must be to be married, and then Jin comes in and asks for a moment with Sun. The random woman leaves, and Sun mentions how happy she is, wishing that Jin’s father was still alive to see him get married. Jin looks a little upset at that remark and Sun tries to take it back, but Jin is fine with it, he’s sure that his father is happy, wherever he is. After a moment, Sun asks Jin to button the dress back up so they can go down to the reception. Jin is in the mood for loving, however, but Sun asks about the honeymoon. However, Jin wants to show Sun’s father that he’s committed, so it’ll have to wait six months for his management training to be completed. Sun thinks she should be more important than his car company, but Jin makes sure to promise Sun that in six months, they’ll have the honeymoon they always dreamed of. I imagine that in six months, they’re going to board a plane…

…but there’s no time to think about that as we move on to the beach with Sun and Michael, as Sun walks up on Michael building his raft. Michael doesn’t look too pleased to see her, but Sun apologizes for slapping Michael. Michael takes the blame for the slap, saying that he was sticking his nose in the wrong business. But Sun doesn’t think that Michael understands–but Michael just wants to build the raft to get him and Walt off the island–and Sun tries to explain that the slap was only done to protect Michael from Jin. Sun tells Michael that he doesn’t know what Jin is capable of, but Michael sees that as Sun’s problem, and not his own. Sun can only walk away from this.

Moving on to the Island Open with Jin and Hurley, as Jin is whacking shots for distance, and judging by the grass patterns, he’s been doing it for quite some time. After one aggravated shot, Hurley suggests that Jin use sea urchin. “They’ve got more ping.” Jin continues swinging hard as Hurley asks Jin to blow off some steam regarding him and Jin by going fishing. Jin is unresponsive, so Hurley invites Jin to be the outsider if that’s what he wants. Jin just keeps on swingin’.

And now cutting over to Shannon and Sayid, as Shannon is working on…something, but whatever she’s doing, she managed to tie a perfect knot. Sayid wonders how she managed to do it–dating lots of guys who own sailboats–but Sayid wonders if she’s just a spinster who spends her Saturday nights alone with an overweight aunt. Shannon laughs and suggests that they grab some rope and spend a Saturday night alone together–see what happens. Sayid’s mouth opens slightly in shock and pleasure as Shannon smiles like a SLUT. How do they even know which day is which? Why not just do it tonight and satisfy Sayid’s hunger? At least you have a 1-in-7 chance of getting it right. I’m sorry, I’m analyzing this too much. I really need to get out more. Maybe find a girl who likes rope.

Speaking of rope, here’s Walt bringing some to help tie down Michael’s Ark. More specifically, wire. Michael tells Walt that he’ll love New York City, especially when he sees all the buildings. Walt tries to have interest in it, but eventually asks his father if he can go throw the ball around with Walt. Michael allows him to do so, and off they go…as the Good Doctor arrives. Dr. Jack notes that Michael is making a lot of progress, and Michael goes through the various items that he’s using to build the boat–this isn’t no Cast Away raft, this is a vessel, my friends. Dr. Jack informs Michael that there is quite a lot of buzz regarding Michael’s Ark, but Michael advises that there’s only room for four people and there’s only one spot remaining. Dr. Jack is confused and asks who took the third spot–as Sawyer arrives and asks Jack if he’s a little jealous. Turns out Sawyer turned over some of his loot to help build the boat in exchange for getting a spot on the boat when it sets sail. Good thing Sawyer’s a saver and not a spender. Dr. Jack is less than amused.

Back with Kate and Sun, as Kate asks her how long she’s going to put up with Jin. Jin is her husband, but Kate makes the point that Sun is so afraid of Jin that she won’t even tell him that he speaks English. Sun defends Jin by saying that he wasn’t always this silent and strange, he used to compliment Sun’s looks all the time, and just treat her right…but then something changed. Kate asks what happened…as someone runs quickly past the tent. Some voices are heard outside, and Sun doesn’t get a chance to answer Kate’s question, as they both rush out to see what the commotion is about. The survivors are running towards something, and Kate stops Charlie to ask what it is. Charlie informs Kate that Michael’s Ark is on FIRE. Sure enough, as the survivors whip around, the Ark is engulfed in flames, as it would take 40 days and 40 nights of rain to stop this fire, so frantic sand tossing from Dr. Jack, Sawyer, and others isn’t going to save it. Locke doesn’t try to help the fire, he simply watches intently as it burns. And here comes Michael, angry as he joins the sand-tossing effort, but eventually gives up, knowing that it’s probably not going to work…as he whips around to find Sun directly behind him. “WHERE IS HE? WHERE THE HELL IS HE?!?”

And now, a word from our sponsors… Mmm-mmm, nothing look a good ol’ plot twist to make Jin seem like a psycho bent on making Michael’s life a living hell. Locke’s reaction to the fire is rather interesting, but is it possible that he’s connected to it in any way?

We return to the Burning Ark, as Michael’s intense face is half-illuminated in fire and half shadowed in the darkness of nightfall, approaching Sun and asking again where Jin is. Sun answers in Korean to cover for herself and Dr. Jack adds that she can’t understand Michael, but Michael insists on asking again. Kate steps in and tells Michael to back off, but Michael is not backing off, because Jin burned the Ark down and Sun knows it. Michael wonders if Sun is trying to protect Jin now, but Michael has to turn his attention over to Walt trying to save the raft, pulling him out of harm’s way as Sun uses this as a chance to escape. Michael charges back and threatens to break Jin’s legs, but here comes the Good Doctor, telling him that it’s not for sure that Jin burned down the raft. Sawyer can’t believe that Dr. Jack is questioning it, but Charlie also agrees that Jin was on the beach earlier this morning. Jack continues to defend that it might not have been Jin, but Michael’s next question is a strong one: Who did? Okay, now it’s time to bring back the old theory that Locke is going to do everything in his power to make sure that no one gets off the island. Given Locke’s reaction, I’d say that this theory is standing out to be more plausible now.

Anyway, we go on to The Caves with Jin, as he goes to the doctor’s table in pain. Sun finds Jin there and asks what’s going on, and Jin tells her that he’s hurt. Sun realizes that this means Jin set the Ark on fire, to which Jin doesn’t respond. Sun can’t believe that Jin would do such a thing since he was trying to get people off this island…but Jin stands up and makes a sudden movement towards Sun, scaring the bejesus out of her despite Jin doing nothing. Jin seems to be rather angry that Sun is so focused on Michael, and angrily walks off past Sun…

…taking us into another Flashback with Jin In The Office, running up the stairs quickly to his boss’ office. Jin is apologizing for something that has to do with old machinery, but the boss is not looking for an apology, he’s looking to promote Jin. Jin is shocked at this, so his boss continues, explaining that the Secretary for Environmental Safety, Byung Han, is going to get a message from his boss delivered by Jin himself: “I’m very displeased.”

Later that night at Byung Han’s House, Jin arrives at the door and explains that he works for Mr. Paik. Han invites him right in and offers for him to take a seat and have a drink, but Jin passes on both. Since he’s simply here to deliver a message. Byung Han begins to panic and tells him not to do it in front of his daughter–who is watching a Korean news report featuring Hurley stepping into a vehicle–but Jin delivers the message of displeasure with a soft voice. That’s all. Byung Han is very grateful for that message, perhaps thinking that Mr. Paik had sent Jin to kill him. Han promises not to make Mr. Paik unhappy any longer, and finds some way to apologize…by grabbing the family dog, despite the daughter’s protests. Han hands over the dog to Jin as a gift for Mr. Paik, saying that the dog is very, very valuable. Jin doesn’t know what to say…

…and we go back to the beach with Boone and Sayid, as Sayid walks up and Boone asks defensively about what he wants. Sayid wants to talk about Shannon, specifically that there is a rising possibility that they will become more than just friends in the near future. Boone wonders if this is a Middle Eastern tradition, if Sayid is asking for Boone’s blessing, and Sayid just says that he’s hoping that Boone will not reject this. Boone doesn’t seem to have much of a response, so Sayid makes it clear that he’s asking out of courtesy, not permission. Sayid goes to walk away, but Boone offers some advice about his sister: She likes older men, guys that take care of her. Sayid is that guy, and when she’s making him feel like the best guy in the world, he’s going to be used to get Shannon whatever she wants. And when she gets it and she splits, Boone advises Sayid not to take it personally.

To the Jungle with Jin, as he is resting peacefully against a tree as birds flap around in the sky. He is awakened by something, and is alert for a moment, but then calms down again. Jin goes to the stream to wash away the evidence of the fire, but he suddenly finds Sawyer behind him. “You messed up my ride, Chief.” Sawyer gives Jin a swift kick to the chest, knocking Jin down…

And now, a word from our sponsors… I’m sure Jin wasn’t planning on Sawyer being in this mix. He thought he could handle Michael, but Sawyer is a whole different story. This has been a really good episode so far, by the way.

Returning with Shannon and Sayid as Shannon is once again…building something. Shannon asks for Sayid’s help with something, and I can only guess that Shannon is trying to build a sailboat, but I have no idea. Anyway, Shannon thinks that she’s totally ruining her project, but Sayid thinks that she’ll do just fine building it by herself. Sayid keeps looking at Shannon, so she knows something is going on. Sayid suggests that Shannon find someone else to help build her shelter–oh, that’s what she’s building–and Shannon immediately recognizes that Sayid has been talking to Boone. Shannon seems ready to go into teeny distress mode complete with sobbing words, but she just storms off instead.

She ends up in The Jungle with Locke, as Locke is dissecting a toad as Shannon walks up and immediately is repulsed by the sight. “Gross to you, dinner to me.” Shannon asks where Boone is, but Locke doesn’t know. Shannon doesn’t believe that, but Locke honestly has no idea where Boone Skywalker is. Shannon suggests that Boone keep his mouth shut and leave Sayid out of it, anything that he wants to say he can say to Shannon–“Should I be writing this down?” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Shannon just advises Boone to stay away and begins to walk off, but Locke asks Shannon if she likes Sayid. Because if she does like him, what has it got to do with her brother? Shannon’s a grown woman and she can yell at Boone until she’s blue in the face, but that’s only giving Boone what he wants: Shannon’s attention. Locke explains that everyone’s given a new life on the island, so maybe it’s time for Shannon to start hers. Ahh, the wisdom of Obi-Locke Kenobi.

And now we’re Somewhere Else In The Jungle With Jin and Sawyer, as Jin finds himself once again in captivity as Sawyer taunts him, asking him if he’s scared, since he knows dem Koreans understand scared. Sawyer pushes Jin’s face into the ground and suggests that Jin start getting scared, because the people on the island might have been accountants and other high-profile businessman before, but now, it’s “Lord of the Flies” time, as Sawyer draws a blade. Good job by the writers acknowledging something that viewers have been saying from Day 1, that this is a lot like “Lord of the Flies”.

Flashback time, as we’re with Jin and Sun. Jin’s eyes are covered as he is sat down at a dinner table and revealed to a feast made by Sun, just for the two of them. Jin is about to dig in, when his cell phone rings. But he makes it clear that he’s not going to let work interfere tonight, and turns the cell phone off. Sun is most grateful and Jin is about to dig in once again…but now the house phone is ringing. They look at each other as the phone continues to ring, and Sun seems to relucantly accept, without words, what Jin has to do.

And now Jin is face-to-face with his boss as one of his factory’s is now apparently closed because Jin wasn’t able to deliver a simple message. Jin now has the task of driving Mr. Paik’s associate to Byung Han’s house later in the night, to show him how a message is delivered. Ah, so Jin was SUPPOSED to kill Byung Han, but he had no idea about what Mr. Paik’s business was all about.

So now it’s Jin And Mr. Paik’s Associate, riding together on their way to Byung Han’s place. The associate begins to put gloves on and advises Jin to keep the engine running, as he will not be inside more than two minutes. When the associate comes back and they drive away, Jin will not go faster than the speed limit and the car will be taken to a riverbank eight kilometers away…as the associate spins a silencer into place on a pistol.

The associate makes sure everything is clear as the car drives up to Byung Han’s place. But in a twist, Jin leaves the car before the associate, charging into Han’s place while the Han family eats dinner. Han advises the rest of his family to run for it, but Jin grabs Han, throwing him down and beating the hell out of him, leaving his face bloody as Jin sends the message: “The factory opens tomorrow. I just saved your life.” Jin releases his grip on Han, looking at Han’s daughter sobbing before turning and leaving. The associate is satisfied with the message delivery this time, putting the pistol away and turning to walk away himself.

And now we go to Jin and Sun’s Place, as Jin barges in and we get the scene that we saw in the first Jin/Sun episode, with Jin washing Han’s blood off, except now we definitely know whose blood this is. For those that haven’t seen it, Jin explains to Sun that he was working, and Sun wants more answers, but Jin tries to push Sun away, which gets a slap from Sun. Jin then tells Sun that he does whatever Sun’s father tells him to do, and he does it for the both of them. Sun is silenced by this as she walks away from this bloody scene. As Sun walks out the door, Jin looks at his hands, shaking as he finally breaks down in tears.

To the Beach with Sawyer and Jin and a whole bunch of other people as Sawyer throws Jin down into the sand and cuts his restraints loose, as Michael arrives to settle the score. The Good Doctor and Hurley step in-between him and Jin, however, as they both try to convince Michael to step off. Sawyer interjects that this has nothing to do with Jack, but Jack once again tells Sawyer to shut up. And now we get to hear what it’s like from Jin’s point of view–their arguing and bickering is just gibberish. And in all of it, there is Sun, looking at Jin with a shocked look–very common this episode, no? Jin says something, but we don’t get subtitles so we’re just as confused as Michael is, wondering what he said. Michael thinks it was something about him and tries to charge again, but Jack still pushes Michael away from Jin. Jin keeps talking sans subtitles, and this time Michael gets through and lands a hard right to knock Jin down to the ground. Jack is now looking to bring force to take Michael off Jin, but Sawyer tells Jack to back off, “one fight at a time”, and Sayid actually agrees, saying that this is between them. So everyone backs off like a schoolyard fight and Jin rises to his feet, saying something in Korean again as Michael once again punches Jin’s lights out. Jin gets back to his feet again and says something in Korean again as everyone is shocked and appalled at this one-sided fight, but Michael grabs Jin’s shirt and is ready to deliver the knockout blow, when…

“STOP IT!” Sun’s voice shrieks out over everything. “PLEASE LEAVE HIM ALONE!” The crowd goes silent, and Sun continues. “He didn’t burn your raft.” Ohhhh no.

And now, a word from our sponsors… Well, the secret’s out, kids. I find the reactions of Walt to be the most important, as seeing his father like this may ignite some fear inside of him that could lead to an interesting twist where Walt somehow harms Michael in some way out of his fear. Something like that. No more speculation, more watchy.

Returning to the scene at the beach, as Charlie breaks the silence. “You speak English?” Hurley: “Didn’t see that coming.” The Good Doctor: “You understood us? All this time, why didn’t you say anything?” But Sun ignores it all and speaks directly to Michael, telling him that his raft was already on fire when Jin arrived at the scene. “He burned his hands trying to put it out.” Michael asks her why Jin ran away from the scene, then, but Sun can only say something in Korean to Jin, sans subtitles, and Michael isn’t satisfied with that response. So Sun explains that his husband is many things, but he is not a liar. Sawyer doesn’t think that she should be lecturing all of us on lying, since it is clear that even Jin didn’t know she speaks English. How do the survivors know that Sun isn’t covering for him? “Because she isn’t!” And here comes Obi-Locke Kenobi, as he tries to rationalize that it couldn’t have been Jin. Why would he burn the raft down? Michael says that Jin has had it out for him since Day One–so it’s personal, but Locke reasons that Jin wouldn’t have any reason to take it on on their only chance of getting off the island. Locke asks everyone why they would point the fingers at each other when they know that the real problem is out in the jungle. “They” have been sabotaging their efforts, kidnapping them, murdering them. So maybe the focus should be put on THEM and not each other! Locke walks away, having made his point, and Sun reiterates that Jin didn’t do it. But Michael just walks away with Walt in tow. And now everyone else disperses, leaving Sun alone with Jin. Sun tries to get close…but Jin just turns away, having been disgraced.

Moving to the Remnants of Michael’s Ark, as Michael realizes that he can’t salvage a thing from the boat. Michael lets out his frustration on the wreckage, scaring Walt again. Michael apologizes for losing the raft, and tells him that they all have setbacks, but that’s just life. And Michael is just going to build another one. Walt offers to help, and Michael is definitely going to take him up on that offer.

And now we’re going to the Caves with Jin and Sun, as we are now getting subtitles again, with Sun walking up on Jin and watching him pack up his stuff. Sun is frantic to ask Jin what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, and why he didn’t just explain that he didn’t burn down the raft. Jin is non-verbal through all of this, as Sun is breaking down trying to get through to him. Sun goes off in a rant in English, telling Jin that she was going to leave him, but Jin convinced him that he still loved her. Of course, she’s saying this in English, so it all goes over his head until she goes back to Korean and express her want to start from the beginning, and just start all over.

Flashback time, as we’re with Jin At The Docks. Jin walks up to a fisherman in his boat…and the fisherman immediately recognizes him. As does Jin. “I’m sorry father.” SWERVE! Jin explains that he was ashamed of his father, but Jin’s father only wants a hug. They embrace…and then we go to Jin and his father working together on the fishing as Jin explains things with his father. Especially things regarding Sun, and how he can’t find it to tell her that her father is a bad man, so they’ve stopped talking. In a perfect world, Sun’s hate would be placed on his father, and not Jin. Jin’s father assures him that it is a perfect world, but Jin tells him that he’s done some bad things, but Jin’s father doesn’t care. Jin simply wishes that he could start over, and Jin’s father wonders why he can’t. Jin explains that he has responsibilities, but are they more important than his wife? Jin explains that his next two jobs are to deliver watches in Sydney and Los Angeles. So Jin’s father suggests that those two jobs be the last for Sun’s father, and that they start all over in America. Obviously, that plan was disrupted.

Back to where we were, with the question asked of starting over, and Jin turns to face Sun and tells her “It’s too late.” Sun begins to out-and-out cry, as Jin walks away without a second look back at his wife.

And now, a word from our sponsors…Man, what a really good episode. The flashbacks are all working on high gear, everything is connecting and it’s all just making sense. This is not one of those episodes where things just seem to drag on forever. Good, good stuff. Home stretch, too.

We return on the beach with Sayid and Shannon, as they meet by the fire and they both look at each other for a moment, and then kiss. Boone Skywalker warned you, Sayid. Sayid asks Shannon what the kiss was for, and Shannon tells him that she’d like to start her new life on the island now, following the advice of Obi-Locke Kenobi.

And now we move to Walt preparing a backgammon board, but here comes Locke as he asks if he has an opponent. “Hurley owes me $83,000. I told him I’d give him a chance to win it back.” Locke sits at the backgammon table with Walt, and warns Walt he doesn’t have $83,000. Michael is down at the beach, but Walt can’t leave after dark. Walt asks Locke about his dad, but Locke explains that his dad isn’t cool at all. Walt gets a good roll on his first roll, and then Locke has to ask a question: “Why did you burn the raft, Walt?” Locke warns that he’s not going to tell anyone, he just wants to hear the reason. Walt simply doesn’t want to move anymore, which is something he’s been doing his whole life. Walt likes it on the island…and so does Locke.

Over to Michael’s Ark, as Jin arrives with some bamboo. “Boat.” Michael nods in understanding and Jin nods back before walking off. Hurley walks by, turning his CD player on as we get another J.J. Abrams Montage. OH, YOU NEED A MON-TAGE.

Starting off with Sayid and Shannon sitting like two lovers and sharing fruit. And there’s Sun, all alone and letting the towel fly away from her, exposing her bathing suit once and for all as she walks out into the water and feels the water without feeling guilty. Here’s Charlie and Claire, sitting together as well as Claire reclines to protect her baby…and the camera zooms out to see Hurley sitting the same way, listening to the CD player…as it dies. “Son of a bitch.”

LOST.

END SHOW! Man, I was wondering when that CD player was going to run out of juice. I think a lot of viewers were wondering with me.

We’re just going to go ahead and march on to the next episode, as there wasn’t any really huge cliffhanger to make us wonder what was going to happen next. There’s plenty of backstory to STILL be explored, but I won’t bother speculating because I’m too busy twitching in anticipation for the next episode.

Real good stuff.
