TN-Analysis

Once again, it’s time for a random internet nerd’s perspective on the world of wrestling…well ok maybe not the WORLD of wrestling, but…I’ll talk about TNA a little bit. I guess in a way that’s the same thing…Oh..it’s not? Well hell, I guess I’m in the wrong line of work.

Nah I’m just juggaling your balls a bit! Let’s get some TNA Analysis up in here, in a column I like to call “TN-Analysis”. Nifty huh?

The direction for “Destination X” seems to be coming along nicely. DDP vs. Jarrett actually has the potential to be both good, and nostalgic at the same time. Hell, if Jarrett can have a good match with Nash, then I’m sure he’ll mesh nicely with DDP. I never saw the two work together in WCW though, so regardless of the outcome, I’m in for a surprise. I’ve never really been much of a Jarrett fan, but I’ve always thought that DDP was awesome. I don’t think that putting the title on him would be a good idea at this point however. Jarrett has defeated everybody that’s been placed before him in the past few months, and DDP just doesn’t seem to be the guy to end his title reign. Monty Brown would have been an excellent choice, but they’ll need to build him up again since he’s already blown one title match.

I love the new Ultimate X match. It starts as a tag match, then becomes a triple threat match, then becomes a true 1-on-1 Ultimate X match. It sounds like it will be a long, interesting match, and the new rules make it seem special, and since the PPV is named “Destination X” the X-Division needs to shine on that night.

So Raven and Dustin Rhodes are feuding? *claps*…(note the sarcasm) Seriously…I’ve always thought that both men could work a decent match, but something about the 2 of them together doesn’t appeal to me. Maybe the bull-rope match will be good though, I’m always full of optimism. I mean yea…it may be the end of the world, but atleast I’ll have fire to light my Newports with during the apacolypse right?

Abyss! The character is awesome. He may not be the best worker around, but he’s pretty good for a big man. “The Shock Treatment” is a kick ass name for a move too. I believe that if booked right, Abyss can do for TNA, what Kane did for WWF back in 1998. Build him up as an unstoppable monster, and then you can give the rub to a few lower stars by having them come close to beating him. If TNA can do that, then they can eventually have somebody beat him and look like a million bucks. Perhaps they’ve already blown that chance though…only time will tell.

TNA has all the members of D-Generation X…that sucked. Seriously, who remembers D-X for Billy Gunn and X-Pac? We remember D-X for Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. Sure…The New Age Outlaws and X-Pac contributed to some great promo’s and such, but without a major star to lead them, they’re doomed. X-Pac can be a decent worker, but I just don’t know about Billy Gunn. Maybe they’ll just run with the NAO team, and eventually have them feud with AMW over the tag titles, but Jesus, that’s such a clash of styles…

Speaking of styles…what’s up with AJ Styles? He worked a great match with Christopher Daniels at “Against All Odds” and…I don’t remember seeing either of them on Impact. I believe Styles did some commentary on a match or something, but…hell I don’t remember. *smokes another joint* Kids…drugs don’t harm your brain, they just make you care less about remembering, and more about partying!!! Yea ROCK ON….

Ok seriously…I haven’t done drugs in a couple of years now…lay off.

Well that’s it for this week’s TN-Analysis. Feel free to send me some feedback, lord knows I need it.

Peace ya’ll.
