With word that Pierce Brosnan will not be involved in Casino Royale, the next installment in the James Bond franchise set to be directed Martin Campbell, rumor has it that Julian McMahon is one of two final candidates for the role.
McMahon told UK’s The Mirror: “I’m a big James Bond fan. I met the producers for a final audition. They told me to expect a decision in a couple of months and they said it was between me and one other person. It’s going to be a very nervous wait.”
And who else is fighting for the right to put on the tux? It’s widely believed that Clive Owen is another final contender for the part, though he’s been keeping quiet about any possible involvement.
