Hey all, Andy couldn’t be here, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t get someone to fill in for him. I’m channeling Andy FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. Actually, no. He’ll be back next week.

WWE is planning on releasing more cool DVDs, including one called “Screwed: The Bret Hart Story”

One Asshole’s Opinion
Holy crap! I’m drooling for that DVD already. It’s a two disc DVD and it will surround the Montreal incident. There’s a thread on the forums for the biggest “Holy Sh*t!” moment in wrestling. This isn’t on the top, but it’s the most recent for me. I’m not completely interested in the other DVDs being released, but I know myself and will buy them all.

Ted Dibiasi is back with the WWE as a consultant to Smackdown! with a job much like Ricky Steamboat recently accepted.

One Asshole’s Opinion
It’s interesting to see the WWE scramble for help on Smackdown! and it’s also interesting to see them turn towards the veterans to help instead of more TV writers. I think it’ll only help Smackdown! and it’s wrestlers. It’ll be cool to see him run out to restrain guy on the show though, much like it’s cool to still see Dean Malenko, Fit Finlay and Arn Anderson occasionally run out on Raw to hold guys back.

Mark Henry once again got injured.

One Asshole’s Opinion
This might make the company think to put him the way of Test. This injury comes at a relatively crucial point, when Henry was just getting back into the ring. We’ll all have to watch to see what happens as this will be another two months for Henry. He’ll have been out of action for over a year, and looking at nearly a year and a half.

Smackdown! magazine spoiled some Mania matches this year.

One Asshole’s Opinion
Cool with me.

The WWE signed a truckload of new talent.

One Asshole’s Opinion
This can only be good for the company. It’s nice to see them making good on their statement to Test that they can sign a dozen developmental guys for his salary. These three follow a few more guys as well, including the Shane Twins, which leads us to…

Michael Shane of TNA is forced to change his name thanks to the new Michael Shane in the WWE.

One Asshole’s Opinion
Man, first he loses his tag partner to the WWE, now he loses his name too. I thought “Shane Michaels” would be cool, and would acknowledge publicly he’s related to HBK, but whatever.

Hulk Hogan: WWE Hall of Famer

One Asshole’s Opinion
I’ll get to this one later…

Muhammad Hassan screwed up his win over Chris Benoit

One Asshole’s Opinion
Way to go dummy. He was the champ a year ago and you were given the opportunity to get a win over him. Although the spot he was supposed to do was kinda dangerous and I understand if he couldn’t do it perfectly. Now there are rumors that he’s facing the one guy who would KILL his gimmick at Wrestlemania. Wonderful. Still just rumors though.

Sabu will return to the ring!

One Asshole’s Opinion
This promotion has the right idea, with the last show they booked being the unofficial ECW reunion. The return of Sabu will be awesome no doubt.

Story
RoH’s “Pure Champion” John Walters was the mystery Providence jobber on Raw this week and lost to Chris Masters

One Asshole’s Opinion
The only people who are gonna recognize it’s him are the people who recognize that he’s a better wrestler. So calm down, please. It’s not like the guy was ID’d AT ALL during, before or after the show.

Links, Links, good for your heart…

Gordi was late, but great and talks psychology

Blatt is me. And I think I’m great too! I talk about the “L Word” that’s been going around wrestling for a while now.

Brashear keeps looking at the Triple Cage match and it’s participants

Hevia giggles like a school girl, but started pulling triple duty this week with a Daily Pulse and a Moodspins premiere.

Oh yeah, have you read moodspins yet? Might I say it’s awesome.

One Asshole’s Opinions

– Hogan going into the Hall of Fame is a given. But I’m not sure why this needs to happen this year. I think that Roddy Piper was enough of a big name this year, and I think Hogan’s induction completely overshadows Piper. Granted, I LOVE Hogan and want to see him at Wrestlemania, but I just think that they need to spread out these major stars from that time period a little more. That’s all. Who’s gonna go in next year as the huge name? Savage? Hart? Solie? The Fink? Hillbilly Jim? Hacksaw? We’ll have to wait a year and see.

– I don’t care what anyone says, I thought the mini-feuds between Shelton and Snitsky was very entertaining, chair shots and all. I liked the contrasting styles and I think Snitsky’s a good worker, and is a good big man. He’s years ahead of Heidenreich anyway.

– I’d like to say that I saw Brock Lesnar in a tag match about a year or so before his WWE debut and on the other side of the ring was Randy Orton and a tag partner. I looked at Brock and said “he looks great, but I bet he’s gonna be bad for the industry.” Man, I had no idea that I would be dead on about that one.

– I thank Andy for giving me the opportunity to fill in this week. Next week, Andy shall return and you can go back to reading my opinions on Thursdays over a Deconstructing the Moveset
