Thanks to mix of critical acclaim and a nice lead-in from American Idol, FOX’s medical drama House has been pulling in solid numbers through the February sweeps period. As such, FOX rewarded the show by agreeing to a full second season.
The show revolves around the brilliant and difficult Dr. House and his young team of doctors as they solve medical mysteries.
The show first aired in November but suffered from a small viewership, in part due to the weak numbers its lead-in (Rebel Billionaire) drew.
However, the return of the ratings-giant American Idol has caused House’s viewership to more than double in the past six weeks.
During the February sweeps alone, the show won its timeslot for the coveted 18-49 demographic.
