I got this email earlier today regarding an Edge appearance.
Afternoon.
This is Sean Jamieson from Moline, Illinois with
something that may have to do with the Edge/Hardy/Lita
situation.
Last Saturday, Mediacom Cable and JD Byrider were
advertising that Edge (Billed as “The Edge”) would be
appearing on March 11th in Davenport, Iowa to promote
the upcoming Raw in Moline. The commercials were
pulled after heavy airplay all weekend. Then on
Tuesday, a new commercial aired announcing that Randy
Orton would be appearing there instead.
I called the Mediacom offices and I was told that Edge
would be unable to appear and that Orton was scheduled
in his place. Considering the timing of the change,
this could be a sign that WWE is keeping Edge away
from public appearances to avoid any “incidents” with fans.
Keep in mind this is just speculation at this point, but it would make quite a bit of sense.
