Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead) has come on board to develop and direct a Rainbow Six movie, based on the popular video games and novel by author Tom Clancy. Paramount Pictures will release the eventual film.
The story centers on a CIA operative who leaves the agency to create a British-based antiterrorism squad. Various writers have been attached to the project since it was brought into the studio in 1999, including Art Monterastelli, Frank Capello, John Enbom, Michael Shiffer and Bill Wisher. No producer is attached yet.
