Ninja Turtles to Return to the Big Screen

According to website Gamerz-Edge (www.gamerz-edge.com), Kevin Munroe (Donner) has been hired to write and direct a CGI animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie: an all-new restart of the series.

When John Woo abandoned the CGI “Turtles” pic a couple of years back, because of a rumoured lack of studio and investor interest, it was widely thought the project was dead. The studio started thinking about doing a fourth live-action “Turtles” film instead. Now it seems they are again returning to the CGI route.

The new film is being handled by producers Tom Gray (who did the first “Turtles” films) and Galen Walker of Imagi. Peter Laird, who co-created the original 1990 “Turtles” feature, is executive producing.
