[WWE] 30-Man Battle Royale Not on TV?

Archive

– Dave Meltzer at WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that there will in fact be a 30 man battle royale tomorrow, with 15 RAW and 15 SD wrestlers featured. He says that the current plan is for it to be on HEAT, but PWInsider’s coverage of this story says it’s still not finalized, while PWTorch.com is saying the battle royale will NOT be televised, but will only be filmed for inclusion on the Wrestlemania 21 DVD. We’ll find out soon! [Credit: WrestlingObserver.com, PWInsider.com, PWTorch.com]

– Yesterday at a jr. high in South Central Los Angeles, WWE had a special assembly for everyone who had done well in school, who was visited by Ron Simmons and Maven, who mentioned the battle royale.

– Hulk Hogan appeared last night on Best Damn Sports Show, and said he wasn’t wrestling.

– The reason WWE changed Roddy Piper’s Hall of Fame inductor from Chris Jericho to Ric Flair is because Flair — who goes way back with Piper — convinced them to do so. Originally they didn’t want Flair involved, due to his inducting of Harley Race last year.

– Steve Austin will be in a future episode of MTV’s “Punk’d.” He was also recently on CNBC’s Dennis Miller show to promote Wrestlemania.
