ExtendMedia Develops Broadband/SVOD Cross-Promotion for WWE’R’

SAN FRANCISCO, Apr 04, 2005 (BUSINESS WIRE) — At NCTA’s National Show today,
ExtendMedia announced that it has been chosen by World Wrestling
Entertainment(R) to be its primary production and development partner to create
exclusive broadband content to cross-promote the WWE 24/7(TM) subscription
video-on-demand (SVOD) service via cable operators’ high speed internet
portals.

ExtendMedia, a leading provider of software solutions to the digital content
and media industry, has partnered with WWE to deploy more than a dozen
broadband content applications through 2006. The broadband applications are
comprised of highly interactive, game-like content jam-packed with exclusive
WWE video, animation, flash and photographic elements.

The content is designed to empower cable operators to use their high-speed
internet service to cross-promote the WWE 24/7 SVOD service. WWE has already
secured agreements to launch WWE 24/7 with Cox Communications, Blue Ridge
Communications, RCN, Sunflower Broadband, Massillon Cable TV, and SELCO, and is
targeting immediate distribution and carriage of the broadband content by this
June.

“ExtendMedia was a natural fit for this initiative, because they’ve been
leaders in the broadband content world for nearly 15 years,” said Tom Barreca,
Senior Vice President, WWE Enterprises. “They have a deep understanding of
WWE’s need to provide value for our distributors while upholding the high
standards our fans demand from us – and they have continually proven that they
can translate that understanding into deployable commercial services.
ExtendMedia’s work in broadband and iTV, from creative and programming to
execution and delivery, is always first-rate.”

The cross-promotion is the latest in a string of initiatives ExtendMedia has
undertaken with WWE. In December, the companies announced their joint efforts
to re-launch the WWE.com website and the company’s corporate and affiliate
marketing sites, as well as to develop a comprehensive content management and
delivery infrastructure for WWE’s interactive properties. ExtendMedia is now
WWE’s primary interactive development partner.

“This is smart stuff, and once again WWE is taking the leadership position in
the digital media space,” said ExtendMedia CEO Keith Kocho. “We’ve long
believed that targeted cross-promotion is a critical element for companies
delivering content services to consumers, and we work hard to bring to the
table products and services that help our customers do just that. We’re very
excited to be working with WWE on this effort.”

ExtendMedia is exhibiting at NCTA’s National Show this week in Booth #6490
(CableNET Pavilion) at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
