We’re in Botswana – in the largest salt pan in the world. This is the sixth Pit Stop in a race around the world. Teams have no idea what’s in store for them. Well, except for the Roadblocks, Detours, and potential Yields/Fast Forwards, but Phil doesn’t say that. But you know that they know.
Ron and Kelly, who arrived first (and got nothing for it), will depart at 5:29am. They must drive 199 miles to Sankuyo Village and find a water tower. Kelly is centering herself by reading the Bible.
Romber, 5:43am. Amber is enjoying the Race. Rob is playing for themselves only.
Uchenna and Joyce, 5:51am. They have $85 for this leg of the Race. Uchenna is blown away by being in Africa.
Lynn and Alex, 5:52am. They’re good honest players – but they’re sneaky. Um, sure.
Meredith and Gretchen, 6:12am. Gretchen is happy to still be in the Race.
The Dudes, 6:22am. They’re looking for no Whammies.
Ron and Kelly head towards Maun, but Ron thinks they should be following the route markers. Romber is following the same route, as are Uchenna and Joyce. They’re passed by Lynn and Alex, who may be speeding.
Meredith and Gretchen arrive at a water tower, but it’s not the right one. Then they reread the clue, and keep going. The brothers are somewhere behind.
Ron and Kelly reach the cluebox. It’s a Detour – Carry It or Milk It.
Carry It – balance items on their head and carry it to a central area.
Milk It – Milk 10oz from goats.
Ron and Kelly decide on Milk It, and then change their mind and decide to Carry it. But carrying things is harder than it looks, so they switch tasks.
Romber arrives, and decide to Milk it.
Brian and Greg reach a water tower, and look all over for a clue, before realizing that it’s not the correct one.
Ad Break
The brothers head off to Maun after rereading the clue. Romber look at the goats, and decide to Carry It instead. Rob has problems, Amber doesn’t, but they decide to switch tasks and Milk it.
The other four teams are still heading towards the detour. Meanwhile, the goats do not seem to be enjoying the milking much.
Lynn and Alex, Meredith and Gretchen and Uchenna and Joyce reach the Detour. Lynn and Alex and Meredith and Gretchen decide to Milk, while Uchenna and Joyce decide on carrying.. Lynn and Alex see that the milking is taking a while, and decide to carry. Uchenna and Joyce are blowing through the carrying. Lynn and Alex go to Milking, “sensitively” noting that Uchenna and Joyce are “born to do it”. That deserves a one finger salute.
Ron and Kelly finish the task, and are directed to head 20 miles to the Kahwai River. Tension seems to be getting to them. Romber finish, and head off. Uchenna and Joyce polish off the carrying, and are off.
Meredith and Gretchen finish Milking, and get their clue. They have no idea where the Kahwai River is, and ask for directions. Lynn and Alex finish milking, and are off. Meanwhile, the Dudes finally pull into the Detour, and decide to Milk it.
Teams are heading to the River, and it looks like there’s a problem with Lynn and Alex’s car. We’ll find out exactly what’s wrong after the
Ad Break
Lynn and Alex get a replacement car, and they’re off again. Brian and Greg have found a goat that is “coming through in the clutch”. Ron and Kelly see some elephants. They and Romber reach the cluebox – it’s a Roadblock. A team member must navigate through a crocodile-infested river, and then navigate a course strewn with logs.
Rob and Ron do it. They navigate the river without much difficulty.
Uchenna and Joyce encounter some zebras, and then reach the Roadblock. Uchenna does it. Meredith and Gretchen reach the box next, and Meredith takes it. Lynn and Alex reach the Roadblock, and Alex takes it, but he doesn’t drive stick very well. The Dudes finish the Detour, and are off.
Romber and Ron and Kelly reach stage 2, and are off. Rob moves the first log, and Ron does the same.
Uchenna and Joyce reach the paths, and they choose one. Rob’s on log #2, while Ron just finishes #1. Uchenna finishes log #1.
Alex is getting a crash course in stick, and crosses the river. Dudes reach the elephants.
Rob finishes the Pit Stop. The clue says to drive 9 miles to Khwai River Lodge. Ron tells Kelly to chill, and somehow that gets translated to “shut the f*ck up”. I must’ve missed that. They’re heading to the Pit Stop in a good mood.
Uchenna finishes the task, and they’re off to the Pit Stop. Meredith is working hard. Alex gets a flat. Rough day, and I can’t say that they don’t deserve it.
Romber encounter some giraffes. Kelly notes that Ron was nitpicking today. Uchenna and Joyce are enjoying themselves. Meredith completes the task. Lynn and Alex reach task two.
Romber reach the Pit Stop just ahead of Ron and Kelly, and are team number one. They win a trip to the French Riviera!!
Ron and Kelly are team number two.
Uchenna and Joyce are the third team to arrive, but didn’t finish the Roadblock correctly, and need to go back. “That could be costly.” Ya think?
Ad break.
Rereading the clue, Uchenna realizes that he didn’t pull the post out of the path.
Alex chooses a path, and they’re going. The Dudes reach the Roadblock, and Greg does it. He navigates the river. Uchenna and Joyce get the post, and it’s back to the Pit Stop. Meredith is finished, and blows right by the clue.
Uchenna and Joyce are officially the third team to arrive.
Meredith and Gretchen are the fourth team to arrive, but they need to go back and get their clue.
Alex clears log #2, and they get their clue. Lynn takes over the driving.
Greg clears log #1.
Alex thinks that they’re last, and are putting on all their clothes, just in case. But sadly, they’re team number four.
Greg finishes the task, and they’re off. Meredith grabs the clue. The Dudes think that they’re last (although editing makes it seem otherwise), and decide to go out in style, or with minimal clothing if it’s non-elimination.
Meredith and Gretchen are team number five.
The Dudes are the last team to arrive, and they’ve been Philiminated. They note that their bond is tighter than it was before.

Well, the brothers getting Phliminated really puts a downer on things, and them being gone means that I’m rooting for Uchenna and Joyce to win it all.
