Vincent Pastore, the late “Big Pussy” to fans of HBO’s “The Sopranos,” was charged with four misdemeanor assault counts on Tuesday (April 5) after a weekend incident involving his girlfriend.
According to documents obtained by the TheSmokingGun.com, the incident occurred on Saturday (April 2) when Pastore and his girlfriend Lisa Regina were sitting in the actor’s car on Mott Street in New York.
Pastore allegedly struck Regina in the head with a closed fist, pulled her by her hair into the car’s gear shift and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her from the car. The fight left her with “bruising, swelling and substantial pain.”
The actor faces two counts of assault in the third degree, one count of attempted assault in the third degree and one count of harassment in the second degree.
Pastore, whose additional acting credits include a guest spot on “The Practice,” recently signed on to appear in a new NBC comedy from “Law & Order” creator Dick Wolf.
