4/1 Impact! Recap
Instead of the usual rundown, I’m just going to link you to the live coverage I did. Plus this week’s Impact was a bunch of video packages, a squash match, and a very good match. Click here for the recap
Ok since Impact! was very bland and I’ve talked a lot about the matches already announced, I figured I would mix things up this week. We all know that the WWE put on WrestleMania this past Sunday. What if TNA put on WrestleMania? Well let’s see what a possible TNA WrestleMania would look like:
TNA SpecialMania 1
*Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio Starring: Chris Harris as one half of the tag team champions and James Storm also as one half of the tag team champions.
*The Script: No Harris vs Storm wouldnt be the quality of wrestling that Rey vs Eddie could have been but AMW are the tag champs and they’ve seem to beaten everyone. I think they would would have a very nice match that would end with a handshake and a hug.
*The Hollywood Ending: Chris Harris wins because I flipped a coin
*Edge, Shelton Benjamin, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Kane, Christian Starring: Kid Kash as the guy not being pushed, but should be, and, Elix Skipper as the most over black guy in the promotion, along with, Petey Williams as the canadian with the cool finisher, presenting, Michael Shane as the other guy recieving no push, including, Abyss as the big man that adds size to the match, finally, Shocker as the cool guy that was in a commercial.
*The Script: This match would of course have a bunch of high spots that would just awe the crowd. We’ve seen what most of these guys can do in high spot matches. It’s also another way to get the crowd on their feet for the rest of the show. Plus it will hopefully come off well making the rest of the workers on the card work hard to top it.
*The Hollywood Ending: Kid Kash wins because I want him to get a World Title Shot
*Undertaker vs Randy Orton Starring: Diamond Dallas Page as the “face legend” and Monty Brown as the young and over heel
*The Script: No, DDP doesn’t have some big win streak or anything but this would have give DDP a chance to get some revenge against Monty Brown for the turn at Destination X. Also it owuld give Monty a semi high profile match in order to build his heel character
*The Hollywood Ending: Monty Brown wins in order to keep his heel character strong
*Trish Stratus vs Christy Hemme Starring: Trinity as a women wrestler and Traci as a women wrestler
*The Script: Nothing special about this match. Traci and Trinity are really the only women in TNA so they are really the only choices for this match.
*The Hollywood Ending: Traci wins because I once again flipped a coin
*Kurt Angle vs Shawn Michaels Starring: Christopher Daniels as one of the best workers in the company and Chris Sabin as anothe good worker in the company
*The Script: I went with pure wrestling in this one. There’s no real established vet in TNA in the X Division. Sabin vs Daniels won’t be the classic that I thought Michaels vs Angle was. It will however be a very good much with some very nice spots I’m sure.
*The Hollywood Ending: Christopher Daniels wins because he just seems like a better choice at this point in time. The result won’t really hurt either man if it’s as good as I think it would be.
*Piper’s Pit Starring: Down N Dirty With Dusty with host Dusty Rhodes as the old guy who’s over stayed his welcome and Special Guest Raven as the loner who’s still over
*The Script: I would have Raven go on about “why am I jobbing to your son at every PPV? Why am I facing green workers like Jeff Hardy? Why did I job to Watts as Final Resolution? Where’s my push? Where’s my title shot? What about me? What about Raven?”
*The Hollywood Ending: Raven Evenflow DDT’s Dusty. That would atleast make me happy
*Big Show vs Akebono Starring: Previews and Commercials, who really cared about this match?
*John Cena vs John Bradshaw Layfield Starring: Jeff Hardy as the green worker who ladies cheer for and Kevin Nash as the money hungry heel
*The Script: I know Nash isn’t heel, but I’ll turn him for the PPVs sake. This match would be short and sweet much like Cena and JBL was.
*The Hollywood Ending: Kevin Nash wins just to piss off all the ladies and the marks in the crowd. And after the match I would have Nash continue to beat up Hardy, again, just to piss off all the marks
*Batista vs Triple H Starring: AJ Styles as the young kid who the fans love and Jeff Jarrett as the champ who everyone is sick of
*The Script: think this match would be better than HHH/Batista simply because Styles and Jarrett seem to mesh better in the ring. Styles can really adapt to any style which means Jarrett doesn’t have to change his.
*The Hollywood Ending: AJ Styles wins because I am sick as can be of Jarrett being the champ. Along with that reason, Styles is the most over right now with the fans so him winning in the main event would send the fans home happy.
So of course I have left off a good number of workers in this one including Team Canada, 3 Live Kru, Dustin Rhodes and a few others but WWE’s WrestleMania didn’t have any filler so neither will TNA’s SpecialMania.
