InsidePulse’s WWE RAW Report 4.11.05

Archive

Tonight on RAW, Shawn Michaels hopes to shove “Sweet Chin Music” down the throat of brash newcomer Muhammad Hassan.

Daivari and Hassan’s attack on HBK last week left him in a near-unconsciousness state in the ring. On RAW from Moline, Ill., Michaels will get his hands on Hassan in a rematch from two weeks past. Will Michaels’ experience and savvy be enough to take down a younger opponent who is quick to point out that he has never been pinned in his career? And will HBK be at 100 percent? Tune in to find out.

In other big news, Batista will give his first RAW interview since becoming World Heavyweight Champion. The Animal had sharp words for Triple H before WrestleMania. What will he have to say about Evolution, potential RAW opponents and his championship reign tonight?

Also, Christy was blindsided by a Trish Stratus sneak attack last week. This RAW, the feisty Playboy cover girl will get a chance to kick back in kind — teaming with former Women’s Champion Victoria against Trish and Molly Holly.

In addition, a number of Superstars were injured at the hands of opponents on last week’s intense edition of RAW. What is the condition of Chris Benoit, whose already-damaged arm was blasted by a steel chair from Edge? What about Randy Orton, who said one shoulder was badly hurt trying to “kill” the legend of the Undertaker? It seemed that shoulder only got worse from damage done by Batista in last week’s RAW main event.

Tune in tonight for RAW (9/8 CT; Spike TV) and watch it all unfold.

LIVE from Moline, Illinois
Hosts are Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross

Trish Stratus & Molly Holly vs. Christy Hemme & Victoria
Vic and Molly start us off. Molly gets a fireman’s carry, but Vic comes back with some armdrags. Standing moonsault gets 2 for Victoria. Christy in, and she gets a split/leg drop for 2. Trish gets a cheap shot, and Trish comes in to take advantage of Christy. Trish works her over in the corner, and Molly comes back in. Baseball slide to the face gets 2 for Molly. Molly hooks on a boston crab, but Hemme fights out and tags Victoria. She unleashes on Molly, but Trish stops the Widow’s Peak with a kick to the gut. Christy tags in however, and slaps Trish, allowing Molly to take control, but she accidently hand-spring elbows Trish, and Christy gets a roll-up for 3.

Afterwards, Kane comes out to avenge Lita, but Trish runs.

They show footage of Orton going to the doctors and getting surgery on his shoulder. Orton blames it all on Batista in his match last week, and promises to get revenge.

Backstage, the girls are talking about Orton getting what he deserved, and start making sexual comments about Batista. Trish runs through, as does Kane, who shows a little grin at the ladies.

Meanwhile, Hassan is being interviewed by Coach. Hassan says that he will have the last laugh.

HHH comes out, looking ready to wrestle. He gets on the mic though, and tells Dave that he has made his rematch for Backlash. Fans chant “Batista” to get on Hunter’s nerves, but HHH agrees, he WAS awesome at Mania. HHH tells Dave that he know he fears the Pedigree, and pretty much puts it over as the one and all finishing move. Hurricane interrupts, and tells HHH that the last time we saw him, he was wearing a mask – a red, bloody, crimson mask. HHH says he doesn’t have time for this, but Hurricane wants revenge for him and Rosey…and so does Rosey. The two double team on HHH and clothesline him out of the ring. HHH gets on the mic however, and wants an official match.

Commercial break.

Hurricane & Rosey vs. Triple H
We’re back with HHH getting 2 off of something. Hurricane fights out of a headlock, but walks into a BIG spinebuster. Hurricane comes back with a headscissors, and Rosey comes in. He goes all out on HHH, and Hurricane tags in with a double team leg drop for 2. HHH crotches Huricane with the ropes when he goes up however. He then deals with Rosey, who gets his foot tied in the ropes, and Pedigrees Hurricane for 3.

HHH beats on Rosey afterwards, and tells Batista that he will be in Hurricane’s place by the end of the night. To prove that size doesn’t matter, he gives a Pedigree to Rosey.

Commerical break.

Chris Masters “The Masterpiece” vs. jobber
They show a video of Masters beforhand, as he has apparently never been beaten. Chris man-handles him around, and the jobber tries to come back, but just gets axe-handled. Swinging full-nelson ends it.

Afterwards, Chris puts an open challenge out for anybody next week to see if they can break out of the “Master-Lock”. If they do, they’ll get $1,000 of his own money.

Commercial break.

Big pop for HBK as he comes out for his match with Muhammad. Hassan gets ont he mic beforhand and says that the people do not want to see him destroy HBK again, as he hasn’t earned a chance to wrestle him tonight. BUT he can wrestle him tonight, if he beats Daivari.

Khosrow Daivari vs. Shawn Michaels
HBK clotheslines him down, and gets a bug backdrop. Hassan comes up to the ring, allowing Daivari to snap Michael’s neck on the rope! Neckbreaker, and top rope leg drop gets 2. Shawn fights out of a resthold, and gets some chops. Flying forearm, atomic drop, and scoop slam sets up the elbow. Hassan tries to stop, but HBL just brings him in and beats the hell out of him. Commercial break.

Backstage, HBK pleas for a handicap match with Hassan & Daivari, but all Bischoff is offering is a tag match at Backlash, with Shawn being able to pick his own partner. Shawn doesn’t want a tag match, but that’s all Eric is settling for.

Highlight Reel time, and Y2J says he was actually pleased with the Money in the Bank match, except for the fact that he didn’t win. He brings up that this all started when he lost his title to Shelton Benjamin back in October, so tonight’s guest is…Shelton Benjamin. Y2J says that he would like a rematch, but Shelton says that Y2J had a chance last week for redemption. Y2J says he doesn’t give a damn about Benjamin’s title reign, as Y2J has held it 7 times, and the only reason Shelton still has it is because Chris hasn’t made it his business to get it back. Shelton says that he can do things that nobody else can. Y2J asks if Shelton can take that championship and shove it up his ass. Shelton says no, but he can take his fist and create more hits that the last Fozzy album. BURN! The two end up brawling and security breaks them up.

Commercial break.

Smackdown! Rebound.

Backstage, Kane is still on the hunt for…Lita. Lita asks if Kane did “it” and Kane replies that Trish is scared to death. Lita says that they’re just getting started, and they kiss.

HBK comes out, and runs over Bischoff’s options for his match. He says that the 1st thing that he thinks about when he thinks about Hassan is how much he loves this country. So he wants his partner to be someone who loves this country as well. He wants Hulk Hogan, and so do the fans.

Commercial break.

Inverted DDT from Christian is reversed to the northern lights suplex by Benoit for 2. He hooks on the Sharpshooter, but Christian makes the ropes. The triple germans set up the Diving Headbutt, but Christian rolls out of the way. Un-Prettier is reversed to the Crippler Crossface, but Benoit lets go to deal with Tomko and kick the chair into Edge’s face, allowing Christian to HIT the Un-Prettier and get 3. Good match.

Commercial break.

JR is in the ring, and introduces Batista to big ovation, which gets bigger with the new pyro! JR asks what’s up with Batista being dressed to wrestle, and Dave says that he’s ready for HHH. Batista says that he’s not concerned about anybody coming after him for the belt, and plans on being THE World Champion for as long as he wants. HHH’s music hits, and Hunter comes out of the crowd. He goes for the Pedigree, but gets backdropped out of the ring. HHH gets the mic and announces that next week, it’s going to be the Game vs JR at MSG.
