As opposed to running tired reruns, ABC plans to assemble clip shows for two of its highest rated shows, “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives.”
The goal for ABC is to allow potential new viewers of both shows to “catch up” on the mysteries that have compelled so many viewers this season.
The network also says “Desperate Housewives: Sorting Out the Dirty Laundry” (Sunday, April 24) and “Lost: The Journey” (Wednesday, April 27), might offer up some “fresh insight” for fans of the show — although there won’t be much new material in either one.
The “Housewives” special will look at every character’s story recap some of the mysteries of the show, including why Mary Alice Young killed herself and what Mike Delfino is really doing on Wisteria Lane. It will also offer a preview of the season finale, scheduled for May 22.
“Lost: The Journey” will focus on the back stories of the stranded crash survivors. It will also explore the mysterious island that’s now their home.
