Rumors are beginning to circulate that Mel Gibson is looking to do a movie based on the life of Pope John Paul II, who passed away last Saturday (4/9/05).
Various sites are now reporting that Gibson may follow-up his last film The Passion of the Christ with a movie based on the life of the Pope. According to one gossip site, Gibson sent a film crew to the Vatican City on Friday to capture crowd scenes at the funeral for future use.
Gibson was recently reported to be planning another religious epic – about three children who claimed to have seen a vision of the Virgin Mary in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917.
