Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com is reporting that HHH injured his neck at the RAW taping this week, and at one point collapsed backstage.
This occured during HHH’s handicapped match vs. The Hurricane and Rosey, when Rosey legdropped HHH on his neck and head. Afterwards, Hunter iced down his neck for a while backstage, but then came back out for the final segment with Batista and J.R. During that segment, he again aggravated the injury taking a bump, and collapsed upon arrival backstage at the gorilla position — the area just off camera by the ramp.
There have also been unconfirmed reports that he suffered a concussion.
The injury is likely the reason the advertised dark main event match of HBK and Batista vs. HHH and Flair was cancelled — Earl Hebner had to tell Lillian not to announce the tag match.
As previously reported, Stepanie McMahon did not go to OVW with the other WWE executives today, and this could be a reason why.
