Nicole Richie is no longer hot in Paris Hiton’s books.
The star of “The Simple Life” would not reveal why her and Richie are feuding but did not acknowledge the two of them have split.
“It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends,” Hilton said Wednesday. “Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it.”
A week ago, Hilton, 24, spoke to USA Today and told them that she plans on replacing Richie on “The Simple Life” with her friend Kimberly Stewart, who is the daughter of singer Rod Stewart. Hilton and Richie have completed three seasons of the reality show, which appears on Fox show.
Officials at Fox have denied the casting change. They said in a statement: “We are currently discussing internally the creative direction of the next `The Simple Life.’ We are huge fans of both Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie and look forward to solidifying our plans for the next installment.”
A call to Richie’s publicist was not immediately returned.
