With Harvey and Bob Weinstien leaving Miramax and going off to form their own company, there is a little bit of confusion and hold up on a number of projects they were about ready to work on.

One of those rumoured to be facing an uncertain future is Halloween 9, the latest horror film in the Michael Myers franchise. Malek Akkad, from Trancas International Films, slams the rumours though, saying the sequel is still on track.

“H9 is happening. We have been seriously delayed due to the recent split of Miramax/Disney. Hopefully, we will be able to make an announcement on our website, Halloweenmovies.com, shortly”, he tells Creature Corner.

There is no official storyline as of now, but a few possible scenarios can be found on the web. The most recently rumored storyline fixes on Michael Myers as he awaits execution in prison.

David Hasselhoff is ready to return to film, with a rather sizable role in an upcoming comedy.

Adam Sandler is interested in signing the former Baywatch star for a role in his next pic, Click. He would play Sandler’s boss.

Kate Beckinsale (Underworld) is also in line for a role, according to Variety.

Click will star Sandler as a man who finds a magical remote control that enables him to rewind and fast-forward through parts of his life. Trouble kicks in when the remote starts to make the choices for him.

The film is set to begin production in Mid-June.
