CBS Rules Saturday's Ratings

As the weather improves, it appears more and more viewers are finding other things to do on Saturday nights. CBS came in No. 1 among households with only a 5.0 rating/9 share. FOX was second with a 4.7/9, followed by NBC, 4.4/8, and ABC, 3.7/7.

FOX started things off in first place. At 8 p.m., the Nextel Cup Subway Fresh 500 took a 4.6/9. CBS was just behind with “NCIS,” 4.4/9. ABC aired part 5 of 6 of “Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie,” 3.8/7, and NBC suffered from a poor showing by “Crossing Jordan,” 2.8/5.

CBS assumed the lead at 9 p.m., courtesy of “Cold Case,” 5.3/10, causing FOX’s race to drop to second. NBC moved up to third with “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” 4.5/7, and ABC started the first hour of the movie “Jurrassic Park III,” in fourth at 3.8/7.

At 10 p.m., NBC had the best numbers with “Law & Order” scoring a 6.1/11. CBS fell to second with “48 Hours Mystery,” 5.3/10, while ABC continued with the movie.
