[WWE] Latest on RVD, Foley, WWE Morale

Archive

PWInsider.com is reporting that the WWE workers have returned home from a long European trip with very high morale. RAW workers only work two shows this weekend — Backlash and RAW — and SD only works Tuesday’s NJ taping. Usually RAW’s schedule runs Friday through Monday with SD going Saturday through Tuesday.

The tour paid very well, with bigger bonuses, therefore leading to great morale. Ditto for those who received “RAW vs. SD” video game bonus checks this week. This is despite sub-par travel and other accomadations in Europe, according to some workers.

William Regal is still in the UK promoting his book, according to The Liverpool Daily Post. Also recently in the news is Mick Foley whose speach in Kentucky was covered here and here.

Also in the news, RVD is stoking some rumors about his possible involvement at the June ECW PPV, despite his injured knee. He recently updated his Web site with the following:

“Greetings everybody. Hope you all enjoyed the Holiday (you fill in the holiday of your choice-Pass Over, 4-20, Earth day, 4-20, whatever).

So did you like Sin City? ‘Course you did, it was smoking!

I just saw The Incredibles for the first time and if you have not seen this…it is so worth watching.

My knee is fine and I feel like kicking some ass right now!

If anyone misses seeing me on the tube, watch the ECW pay per view for my return. This pay per view will live up to the standards all ECW hardcore fans have held for the company and it will beat expectations, because for this one night only…we won’t hold back, and we won’t be held back!

Thank you Dusty Rhodes for coming to the store on the 14th. Good luck with your book.

Big news is that we’re moving the store this weekend! 5-Star Comics and Wrestling will be located in Lomita, CA at 1872 Pacific Coast Highway as of May 04. SWEET! This is going to work out much better for the store, but I want to thank Lakewood Center Mall for all the good times and memories. A special thanks to Cynthia in the office for being so cool all the time.

I met some of you at the Hollywood Collectibles Show last weekend in Burbank. Lots of interesting tv and movie stars were on hand, and I was familiar with the building because I went to that stuntman party there a few months ago. Yeah, I’m cool like that.

This weekend I will be at the Chiller’s convention in New Jersey Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. That’s right…a whole weekend with RVD! This will be my fist Chillers but I have high expectations. I also understand Mick Foley, Capt. Lou, Afa and the Samoans will be there. That’s what I’m told.

Coming up in May I will be in London for the Movie Comic Media Expo for the 13th and 14th. I’m stoked for this trip and I know England is stoked as well, mate. By the way, after you get a photo with me and tell me ” Cheers”, you can say hello to Matt Hardy and the ever-so-interesting Ultimate Warrior.

Hey can you believe Randy Cotour got knocked the fu*k out? Dude! Chuck’s awesome , either man might’ve taken that. I almost went to that one, and will catch a future bout.

All right, that looks about long enough for an update.

I should have information for you about my comic book pretty soon. Hey, I know you’ve heard that before but give me a break. Good things come to those who wait. Or do good things come in small packages?

Anyway…Late.”
