'Queer Eye', 'Six Feet Under' Win GLAAD Awards

HBO’s drama “Six Feet Under” and Bravo’s reality “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” were among the winners at the 16’th annual edition of the GLAAD Media Awards.

The awards, given by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, honor “fair, accurate and inclusive representations” of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered people in the media. The Los Angeles ceremony took place Saturday (April 30) at the Kodak Theater.

“Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and MTV’s “Real World: Philadelphia” split the award for outstanding reality show, while “Six Feet Under” won for best drama series. The WB’s new show “Jack & Bobby” won for outstanding individual episode in a show that doesn’t feature a regular gay character.
