Will Ferrell will return to the stage that launched his career later this month.
Ferrell will host “Saturday Night Live” on Saturday, May 14. This follows David Spade’s return as host in March.
Queens of the Stone Age is booked as the musical guest for the night; the band is making its first “SNL” appearance.
Ferrell, whose movie “Kicking and Screaming” opens the day before (May 13), was a “Saturday Night Live” cast member from 1995-2002.
In addition to “Kicking and Screaming” and Woody Allen’s “Melinda and Melinda,” released earlier this year, Ferrell has at least four other movies scheduled for release this year, including “Bewitched” and “The Wedding Crashers” this summer.
