John Woo Leaves Spyhunter

John Woo and producing partner Terence Chang have picked up the rights remake three French films: Honor Among Thieves (1968), Rider on the Rain (1969), and The Prone Gunman (1982). The first two starred Charles Bronson while the latter starred Alain Delon.

France’s StudioCanal has labed these films “The Thriller Library” and may grow expand it to produce more remakes.

Woo may end up directing the remake of Honor Among Thieves, and has officially left the Universal project Spy Hunter, which is set to star The Rock. Woo has cited scheduling conflicts as the reason behind the departure.
