After a successful first season, FOX has ordered a second season of “Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy.”
“Trading Spouses” arrived last year with plenty of baggage, as FOX faced charges of attempting to steal the format for ABC’s “Wife Swap.” In the end, there was enough of audience for both shows. In its Monday time slot, “Spouses” averaged 7.93 million viewers per week, well below the 9.32 million for “Wife Swap,” but still enough for FOX.
On the show, moms leave their families for a week, taking over a completely different family for a week. During the show, the moms and their spouses and children discover either if they need to make major changes in their lives, or if what they have is better than the alternative.
