Toronto, Canada – May 24, 2004 – Look for three new releases from Speakeasy Comics this week, including the debut of Speakeasy’s first OGN (Original Graphic Novel) Ravenous, the debut of new ongoing horror series The Hunger and the continuation of The Grimoire!

All three release will be available beginning Wednesday, May 25 at fine comic shops everywhere.

RAVENOUS (MAR053120) — By Dawn Brown:
Inspired by the classic works of Edgar Allan Poe, writer, artist and creator Dawn Brown presents Ravenous — a new work that draws from the master while offering a startling new mystery of its own. Ravenous is the main feature in this collection and is a fully illustrated 100 pages of suspense and mystery.

THE GRIMOIRE #3 (MAR053118) — By Sebastien Caisse and artist Djief:
On her journey to New York, Amandine finally gets to read a bit from the Grimoire— but not for long.

A summoning brings answers that only beg more questions. A family she didn’t know she had makes an unwelcome appearance, and a hunter drawn by greed and ambition manages to steal the book!

THE HUNGER (MAR053117)– By Jose Torres and Chris DiBari.:
Charlie gets more than he bargained for out of his Mardi Gras in the Big Easy when a Caribbean gangster kidnaps, murders and resurrects him to life as a zombie.

Now, Charlie must find his way home in a world where the mystical is not only real, but a dark threat to his day-to-day unlife. All while his new existence as one of the undead throws him into homicidal fits, alerting law enforcement agencies and leaving a trail for those who would exploit his newfound magical power.

ABOUT ADAM FORTIER
Adam Fortier started his comics career working in retail at the young age of 15. After attending University, he spent time as a programmer for Xerox, starting a multimedia company with some friends, and moving from Multimedia to computer animation. From there, he met Dreamwave Productions, where he helped the company launch Transformers as a new comics project. Early in 2003 he stopped working with Dreamwave, and started working with such diverse publishers as Devil’s Due, UDON, and IDW Publishing.
