Revenge of the Sith is still dominating in theaters, and George Lucas says he is finished with the franchise, but really, can he totally walk away?
Apparently, George Lucas has told a scooper for the Cinescape website that in the back of his mind’ he has an idea for another Star Wars film: A prequel to The Phantom Menace.
The film would apparently focus on the tales of the Jedi regaining control of the universe from the many Dark Lords 88 years before Anakin Skywalker was even thought about.
Yoda, apparently instrumental in the effort, would have a headlining role.
Lucas, 60 years old, says he won’t be the main man involved in such an effort should it ever happen. But now that he’s said such things, and Fox seeing more dollar signs than ever before, how far off can the world be from another Star Wars film?
