A film based on the incredibly successful and popular Fox franchise, The Simpsons, has been discussed for years. Fox and the series creators continually say that the film will be made somewhere down the road. Apparently, however, that is a little misleading, as production has already begun on a feature-length film. This news comes straight from the mouth of Nancy Cartwright, a voice actor that has been with the show since episode one. She voices Bart Simpson.
Says Cartwright, “You know what? We’ve just done the table read for the ‘Simpsons’ movie so although we’ve been promoting that we’re going to do it, now we’re actually doing it and are in production”, she told the BBC. She also mentions that it will take a couple of years to make cinemas.
“I’m sure it won’t take any less than a couple of years. I don’t know the name of it and I can’t go into details about it and we’ll just have to see how it goes, but I think it’s going to be great and the fans are going to dig it.”
