Paramount has officially killed off the Watchmen project, blaming an escalating budget and a change in guard at the studio for the cancellation of the film. The movie was set to be an adaptation of Alan Moore’s graphic novel.
Producers Larry Gordon and Lloyd Levin, and director Paul Greengrass, are now talking to other studios, hoping they will agreed to make the film. Watchmen had been previously set up at Universal.
