The man behind “Arrested Development” will be staying at the show’s helm this season and next.
Mitchell Hurwitz, who created the series, has signed a new agreement with producer 20th Century Fox TV to remain for “Arrested’s” third season.
The studio offered Hurwitz a fairly standard “overall deal,” thought to include a provision that he develop new projects in addition to “Arrested Development.” The showbiz trade papers report that he opted not to take it, choosing instead to concentrate solely on “Arrested.”
