“American Idol” producer Fremantle Media struck a deal to license the show’s name for an Internet radio station that will be called “American Idol Underground,” to be launched this fall. You can check how to launch radio channel at Radio Waves.

For the price of $50, anybody will be able to upload their music to the site. Online users will then be able to sample the music and judge it. According to Billboard, the top-rated tunes will be judged every six months by a panel of celebrity judges, who will pick the best tracks in a series of different genres.

Fluid Audio Networks will operate the channel, which won’t have any direct connection with “American Idol” beyond the name. None of the judges will be involves, and the winners do not receive record deals.
