1. Introduction
—————–

Welcome, one and all, to the very first edition of PAW Unleashed! For
those not in the know, PAW is InsidePulse’s official
e-wrestling organization, ran through the IP Message Boards. What
this is for is to gain interest amongst people that might not know
about PAW, might not know about e-wrestling, or might be misinformed
as to what e-wrestling actually is.

Every month, I will join you to run down the current results from our
shows, news and notes on feuds and assorted happenings within the
organization, in-character interviews with the competitors in PAW, and
information on how to join in on the fun that is PAW.
So without further adieu, lets get this show on the road!

2. PAW Rebirth RESULTS
————————

PAW Rebirth: A Tribute to Dave Barron was the Pay-Per-View that
started it all. The former InsidePulse Fed was under new ownership,
and the new owners wanted to show off their flashy new organization in
the right way; by putting on one hell of a show.

The show started off with a ten bell salute to Dave Barron, a former
handler and friend of IPF’s who died recently. J.P. Johnson made a
stirring speech about him and his legacy, and everything he meant to
the IPF.

The first match featured the debut of Dread Pirate Paulie, who has
quickly gained a following in PAW, as he took on Jayson Argonaught.
The two men tore the house down, and almost stole the show with their
hard-hitting encounter. In the end, though, Paulie beat Argonaught
with a school-boy using a handful of tights AND the ropes in 23:14.

Next up was Takai versus Muerte, two men who normally team under the
name “The Eschaton Effect”. Here they proceeded to have a comedy
match against each other that you have to read to believe. In the
end, Takai pinned Muerte, but I won’t give away the ending. You have
to read it to truly appreciate how odd it was.

In a total squash, Tidal Wave destroyed Mr. Thor to retain his Steel
City Championship. Mr. Thor just wasn’t there this night, and the
match only last 3:29.

Anyone that thought that there was no way the under-five foot tall,
130 pound Rita Ratilda could beat the 400 pound monster known as
Damian were shocked as all hell in the next match. Rita bounced
around like a pinball most of the match, but in the end she ended up
using a chair to bring the big man down to size, and pinned him for
three to pull of the upset at 8:49.

The former “Canadian Casanova”, Mathias W. Hensler, took on one of
PAW’s brightest stars in Padawan next, in another match-of-the-night
candidate. The match went back and forth, with Mathias aiming a
concentrated attack on Padawan’s knee, but in the end Padawan squeaked
out a victory as 17:44. Hensler laid out Padawan afterwards, starting
off a feud that’s sure to tear the roof off of the next PAW
Pay-Per-View, “The War to Settle the Score”.

For the pure wrestling fan, nothing could have surprised them more
than Roddy Smits versus Brad Moore. Both men gave it their all,
pulling off beautiful chain- and counter-wrestling and bringing the
breathless fans to their feet when they finished with a double pinfall
draw at 33:24.

Finally, in the main event, PAW World Champion Tyler Byrd retained his
title against American Nightmare in a bloody encounter that left both
men in the hospital afterwards (Byrd recieving 24 stitches in his
forehead). Total brutality ruled the day here, and it was with a
little help from Tyler Byrd’s significant other, Roxxy, that he was
able to pull off the victory in 34:27.

A fantastic night to say the least, and if you want to read it in all
it’s glory, check it out 990&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1>right here.

3. PAW Adrenaline: 6/17/05 RESULTS
———————————–

PAW Adrenaline! made it’s debut on this night, and what a debut it
was. Action, intrigue, and a TITLE CHANGE~! all in one action-packed
night.

The first order of business was J.P. Johnson announcing that the next
Pay-Per-View, “The War to Settle the Score”, was going to feature a
one-night six-man tag team tournament, with the overall winning team
recieving any matches the three members want. He then addressed the
#1 contenders situation by announcing that both Roddy Smits and
Brad Moore would be recieving a World Title shot in a triple-threat
match against PAW World Champion Tyler Byrd at “The War to Settle the
Score”.

The first match of the night featured the double-debuts of Bruce Wayne
and “Blinding” Bryan Henderson. Both men wowed the crowd, but
Henderson in particular had the crowd on their feet the entire time,
and at the end he recieved a round of applause for his effort. Bruce
Wayne wasn’t shabby himself, and came within a hair of beating
Henderson several times before bad luck befell him at 11:53.

An interview with Tyler Byrd then aired, which turned into Tyler
hijacking the mic and ripping into J.P. Johnson, Roddy Smits, Brad
Moore, and American Nightmare. He didn’t mince his words at all, and
probably burnt quite a few bridges in the upper management.

The next match was supposed to be Mr. Thor versus Timothy Kidd,
but instead it turned out to be the debut of J.P. Johnson’s
“Troubleshooter”, Tatsumi Nanami. Nanami destroyed both men,
particularly laying waste to Mr. Thor. Apparently, if you don’t work,
you get stiffed into oblivion.

A big tag team match happened next, featuring Mathias W. Hensler &
Dread Pirate Paulie versus Padawan & Jayson Argonaught. The match was
as chaotic as was to be expected considering the participants; so
chaotic, in fact, that Jayson Argonaught injured his shoulder during a
fall. In the end, Dread Pirate Paulie pinned Padawan in 10:12,
kidnapped Mathias W. Hensler’s girlfriend, and insulted Padawan all in
the same breath. Quite a bold statement from a newcomer!

Finally, in the main event, PAW Steel City Champion Tidal Wave was
defeated by the underdog Rita Ratilda with a little help from her
“friend”, Damian, in 8:34. After the match Rita and Damian celebrated
over the defeated Tidal Wave, basking in the crowd’s jeers.
But why just read the spoilers? Read the whole damn thing, why don’t
you? It’s 605&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1>right here!

4. News and Notes
—————–

– Jayson Argonaught suffered a seperated shoulder at Adrenaline!,
putting him on the shelf indefinitely. We wish Jayson Argonaught the
speediest of recoveries.

– Mr. Thor also suffered injuries at the hands of Tatsumi Nanami, and
as of now it’s feared he will not return to the PAW rings.

– Already signed for “PAW Presents: The War to Settle the Score” is a
World Title triple threat match between Champion Tyler Byrd, Brad
Moore, and Roddy Smits, along with a Barbed Wire Cage Match between
Padawan and Mathias W. Hensler, with Dread Pirate Paulie in a cage
suspended above the ring.

– J.P. Johnson is hoping to sign several more wrestlers in the coming
weeks to PAW contracts to bolster the small but amazing roster already
in place.

– Rumors are flying that Tyler Byrd could be losing his World Title
before he gets to “The War to Settle the Score”, as his recent
promos have slagged PAW owner J.P. Johnson. Whether this is a work or
a shoot is unknown, as is the exact details of who might take the
title off of Byrd.

5. INSIDE INTERVIEW: J.P. Johnson
———————————–

BJB: Thank you for taking the time out to sit with us and talk about
PAW.

JPJ: My pleasure, Brian.

BJB: I guess the first question I have to ask, and the question on a
lot of people’s lips, is what direction do you plan on taking PAW?

JPJ: Straight up to the tippy-top! But I don’t think that’s what you
meant. Right now, I’m feeling out the roster, feeling out the
backstage area, and getting used to running a wrestling company. I’ve
loved wrestling all my life, but I never expected it to be so draining
backstage! I think I’ve gotten maybe two hours of sleep this week.

BJB: What do you think of your current roster?

JPJ: Man, do we have a fantastic roster right now, but there is lots
of room to improve, as well. Right now we’re looking at a good eight
to ten guys on the roster. I envision a roster of twenty solid
fighters when all is said and done. If we get twenty, I’ll be a
happy, happy man. Realistically, I’m looking at fifteen, however.

BJB: More than twenty, maybe?

JPJ: Definitely not. I’m capping us off at twenty. Clogging the
company up with talent isn’t going to help anyone, as you can only fit
so many people on the cards we run. But I can see balancing fifteen
to twenty without much problem.

BJB: How much did you buy IPF for?

JPJ: That’s private, but it was quite a nice sum of money, let’s just
say that.

BJB: Thank you for sitting down with us, Mr. Johnson.

JPJ: It’s been my pleasure.

6. What is e-wrestling? What is PAW? How do I join?
—————————————————–

What is e-wrestling?

E-wrestling is easy to explain. People create characters then face
them off against other created characters. After what is best
described as a “writing contest”, a decision is made on what will
happen in the match by the “fedheads” (myself, James Hatton, and
Coren).

To complicate things a bit, e-wrestling is a fun hobby that thousands
of people get involved in each year. It’s a hybrid writing
contest-wrestling simulation in which real people write out what their
character says and does in “roleplays” or “promos”. These are turned
into wrestling matches, written by the “fedheads”. From show to show,
angles and storylines develop, both created by the fedheads and the
characters’ writers. These angles and storylines usually reach their
pinnacle at Pay-Per-Views or Supercards, which are special shows ran
every two months in PAW.

What is PAW?

PAW stands for Pure American Wrestling, and is the newly christened
e-wrestling fed housed within InsidePulse’s Message Boards. It used
to be the IPF, but when the last fedhead quit, Brian J. Blottie, James
Hatton, and Coren stepped in.

Every two weeks, PAW presents “Adrenaline!”, which is PAW’s version of
WWE’s “Monday Night Raw”. Every two months, a Pay-Per-View is held,
which brings all the stories told in the two months prior to a head,
and usually finishes them off.

But most of all PAW is fun. We strive to give people a
creative, intriguing, exciting environment to test their writing
skills in, while keeping it easy to read and fun to keep up with.

How do I join?

Go 99&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1>here, fill out an
application, and post it to the Bio Thread on the message board. If
you haven’t signed up for the message board, you’ll have to sign up,
but it’s fast, easy, and (trust me) it’s worth it.

———————

That’s it for this month. I hope to see lots of new faces in the PAW
in the coming months, and I hope one of them is your’s. Until next
time, this is Brian J. Blottie, signing off for now.
