TNA Impact Report

Luckily for us Canadians, RDS is now going to be airing the new episodes of Impact.

But first, check out why AJ Styles is GOD in Jeremy Lambert’s column .

In the RDS studios, Marc Blondin and Pierre-Carl Ouellette introduce us to this week’s Impact edition. There’s a current angle going on between these announcers, so whatever.

Michael Shane (w. Traci) vs James Storm (w. Chris Harris): Storm & Shane starts it off with a bunch of chops in different corners. Shane fights off with a kneelift. Whip to the corner by Storm, reverse, double sledge by James. Back & forth leads into a powerslam by Storm for 2. Shane is placed on the top and Storm follows. Traci trips Storm, neckbreaker by Shane from the second rope. Harris goes to Traci with some handcuffs and punches Shane. The referee kicks both of them out. After a few rights by Storm, Shane throws him out. On the apron, Shane snaps Storm’s neck and throws him onto the old school railing.

Outside, Shane beals Storm on the ramp. Back in, he gets 2. Snapmare into a chinlock. Belly to belly by Shane gets 2. Some choking, punches, kicks and a knee drop gets 2. Storm fights back with an enziguri. Backbody drop by Storm. Whip, reverse and for some reason, James skins the cat. After 2 ducks, Storm hits a somewhat of a flying headscissors for 2. While Storm gets an airplane spin on Shane, Traci tries to get Alex Shelly to interfere. Storm is distracted by their conversation and Shane clotheslines him for 2. Whip to the corner, Storm with the boot and tornado reverse DDT by Storm(he put his hat on while doing it). That gets 2. Shelly goes on the apron and Shane is thrown into him and the referee. Storm with a big move, but the referee is knocked out and can’t count. Superkick to Shelly! Shane hits the Sweet Chin Music on James Storm for the 1, 2, 3.

Backstage, James Mitchell has a meeting with Abyss. James asks him for one chance so that he can be his manager.

David Young vs Shark Boy: Young attacks from behind with punches and kicks. Shark fights back, but a whip is reversed, and Young gets a clothesline in the corner. Powerslam gets 2. Chinlock. Shark Boy gets out of it. Neckbreaker by Shark coming, no, neckbreaker by Young gets 2. Another chinlock. Rake by Young. Whip, reverse, Shark hits a dropkick while Young went for a springboard. Rude awakening gets 2. To the corner, Shark does the 10-punch count with the final one being biting. Young hits a nice swinging move for 2. Independent wrestling is talked about.

Samoa Joe vs Delirious: the latter is pretty crazy as he just runs around the ring a few times. This is basically a squash for Joe with Delicious barely getting any moves in. Notable moves are stiff knees, chops, kicks, an abdominal stretch and uppercuts. Finish comes when Joe hits a big move (a move which Silver King gave to Juvi at Fall Brawl’ 98) and ends with a choke for the tappout.

Chritopher Daniels vs Elix Skipper: Elix waits for Daniels next to the entrance and attacks him as he comes out. There is going to be a lot of moves in this match I don’t know, so I’ll call them BM. Whip into the railing by Elix. Rake by Daniels, beal by Elix. Back in, Daniels fights back with forearms. Elix comes back with a couple of suplexes (one belly to belly type and another butterfly). Elix with a couple of knee lifts, snapmare and kick to the back gets 2. Both men exchange forearms. Elix hits a BM to Daniels. Elix is in control and gets a 2 count after a dropkick. Both men outside, Daniels gets his head smashed on the apron. And again.

Skipper is still in control. Daniels finally has the advantage when he snaps Elix’s neck on the ropes. Beatings by Daniels. A side suplex gets a 2 count. Elix finally fights back with forearms. Whip by Elix, head put down, kick and BM by Daniels for 2. Suplex coming, no, Elix with a waistlock, Daniels with a huge number of elbows, off the ropes -> Elix hits a spinkick. Both men again exchange punches with Elix winning. Elix does a back body drop, a clothesline and a BM. Daniels leaves and Skipper puts him back in. Daniels tries again and Elix hits a twisting dive. Clothesline gets 2. Back & forth leads to Elix hitting a BM for 2. Out of the ring we go, back in the ring. Daniels hits the Flatliner, goes for a submission and Elix taps out! Chistopher Daniels is still TNA X champ.

The new TNA World champion Raven comes out. After all the crap he went through in his life, he has fulfilled his destiny. Raven is going to be TNA’s worst nightmare. Mitchell shows up and says that Raven thought he left him for dead, but Mitchell is alive and well. He says that revenge is a dish best served cold and the dinner is served. Abyss hits the ring and Raven sees it coming. Clothesline by Raven, but Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam. Abyss chokes Raven out with the chain and that’s the end of that.

We end it in the RDS studios.
