[TNA] The Outlaw: HHH and Trish are Both “a piece of sh*t”

The Voice of Wrestling returned live this week after a few weeks of pre-recording shows and posting them on the site for download. Chris Cash and Big Mike hosted the show from 7-9 EST on Monday with special guest, The Outlaw, a.k.a. Billy Gunn. Amy Weber was also scheduled to come on the show as well, but hours before the show, Chris got an email from Amy saying the following:

“Chris,

After finally reading the interview that you printed all over the internet with Rochelle, I spoke to my attorneys and they have advised me not to speak with anyone. I may be able to grant you the interview with my attorney present, but at this time for legal reasons I must decline.

Amy Weber”

Take that for what it’s worth, but The Outlaw, Billy Gunn, did show up and definitely made up for her absence on the show. Kevin Kelly and Dr. Tom Prichard also appeared with their respective segments. Kevin and Tom both discussed the recent situation between Brock Lesnar and the WWE. In addition to that particular subject, Kevin also explained what exactly was going on with 3PW, revealing that their July show will not take place and that it’s on hiatus until further notice. He also touched on his new position as booker for Frank Goodman’s UXW/USA Pro Wrestling.

Reminder: Billy Gunn and Mike Awesome will both be appearing on a daily basis on the Voice of Wrestling message boards for the next week (Tuesday, June 28 – Monday, July 4th). They will be answering any questions you have for them and have promised to make sure they make it worth your while to head over there and chat with them one-on-one. Visit the “Wrestlers Uncensored!” area on the forums and submit your questions for both Billy Gunn and Mike Awesome. You can head over there now by Clicking Here! Ask away!

Triple H was the start of the conversation between the hosts and The Outlaw as Chris Cash mentioned comments he had made about Triple H during a recent shoot interview with RFVideo. “Let me just set everybody straight real fast,” he started, “yeah, people are scared to talk about him, they won’t talk about him because he’s got all the power there. It was never a vendetta; it’s just he’s a piece of sh*t”. He continued by saying that he’s not jealous of Triple H or the spot he’s got, although he’s heard that from people. “Nobody’s got the spot he’s got because he’s an a**-kisser and I was never that”.

As to why The Outlaw shoots from the hip when he does interviews, he said it’s just how he does things when he’s talking about the WWE office. “It’s evil up there,” he explained, “and he’s (Triple H) an evil person. When you’re up there…everybody knows that he runs the show and if he doesn’t like it, or he doesn’t like you, he’ll say one thing in front of you, but he’ll turn right around and stab you right in the back”.

Outlaw was sure to put over Hunter’s talent, but said that he needed to let that do the talking for him. “That’s what I did the whole time I was there,” he said, “I don’t talk about people behind their back – unless of course it’s to my girlfriend – but I never cut anybody down and I always helped people because the better other people get, the better everybody else is, the better the company goes…but he’s just a one-guy person and whatever’s best for him is what works. And that doesn’t work like that because you burn every bridge known to man. But now he’s married the bosses daughter and if there’s love there, shoot me in the head please”!

You can hear Billy shoot more on Triple H in the interview discussing what their relationship was like while he was there, an example of how Triple H would use his power against others, plus Chris asked him whether there was a right or a wrong way to play politics in the business. However, talk finally moved to TNA, their future, and whether being off television is going to be a major setback for the company. “I can not see how it can not be a setback for the company when you’re off t.v. that long and you’re trying to shoot all your angles on pay per views,” Billy responded, “which to me, I think TNA is a great product…it can only get better. TNA’s a good product because the guys that they have in the back right now haven’t gotten the big ego’s”. He does, however, feel that although the egos are in check right now, he doesn’t if it will stay that way if and when they get a new t.v. deal and the company starts growing.

Chris Cash mentioned the comparison between Jeff Jarrett and Triple H. “The only difference is you can go to Jeff and voice your opinions and he doesn’t, on the other hand, turn around and absolutely kibosh it or go tell everybody else what a piece of sh*t they are, how bad it is, or anything like that”. Outlaw said that Jeff, unlike Triple H, was approachable and willing to listen to ideas even if they happened to not end up being put into action.

The power struggle within the company between the Jarrett’s and the Carters’ was brought up next. Outlaw said he didn’t really know the Carters personally or what takes place within the TNA offices. However, he said he thought about the situation a little bit while he was working out his contract information. “You know, you figure when you join a company like this, when we talked about contract stuff…it was like ‘okay I’m going to have to go to her (Dixie), but she’s not going to have a clue who you are’. It was like ‘Holy sh*t, you’re running a wrestling company and you don’t know who I am? And it’s not an ego thing, but it’s like ‘you own a wrestling company and you don’t know who I am’?”

Outlaw was asked what he thought about Dixie and Bob Carter taking an active role in their company and whether they should be as involved with the creative side of the company as they have been. “They’re putting up all the money and they’re backing this…yeah, you’ve got great business knowledge or you wouldn’t be where you are and you wouldn’t have the cash you have,” he continued, “but if you’re gonna run a wrestling company and try to go head to head with Vince, I would kind of get my ducks in a row to figure out how I could do that without falling flat on my face”. That’s where he feels Jerry and Jeff should come in to try and help that theory out a little bit.

Being a veteran in TNA, Outlaw feels it’s his job, along with all other veterans that work with the company, to put over the young talent. Chris Cash brought up recent comments made by DDP and Kevin Nash after leaving the company and although the host couldn’t think of the exact comments made by the individuals, Outlaw knew what he was referring to. “I know what you’re saying…they’re (TNA) almost like a B-rated film right now. [Kevin and Dallas] are kind of comparing it to New York where New York is the A-rated film. And of course you’re going to have that because you don’t have the notoriety that you get when you’re with Vince. Vince can put guys on his show that can’t work and don’t have a lick of talent and make them into big stars. Why? Because he’s running an A-rated movie”. TNA, he claimed, doesn’t have the “juice” they need to do that with any of the talent they have right now. However, that’s supposed to be his job while he’s there. “You need big stars to make other stars – you need star makers [and] you have to figure out how do we go from a B-movie to move us into an A-movie”.

“Do you feel Nash and Page did that while they were there,” asked Big Mike. “Kevin did it in a way, but I don’t think Dallas did it,” Outlaw responded. The controversy behind why Dallas left in the first place was brought up and the speculations of him not wanting to cleanly put over Monty Brown. “…and what is the problem with that [referring to putting over Monty Brown]?” he said, “wrestling is fake. It’s not real. Whether you win or lose, it’s all how you present that in the end. I promise you, I’ve lost a lot of matches, but that’s not what they remember. They just remember that they saw a hell of a match and they were entertained to no end, but they couldn’t tell you who won. Why not have that great match all the time, whether you win or lose, because that’s what your product is and that’s what you’re selling”.

Talk ended with the recent situation between Tracy Brook and Trinity. “To me, they’re both good people,” he said, “and you will have this amongst girls no matter where you’re at”. Chris Cash, assuming he was referring to the women in WWE, asked him about what they’re like and although Outlaw didn’t want to talk about it at first, he unexpectedly said the following: “Trish Stratus is piece of sh*t. She’s just a no-good piece of sh*t”. However, after saying that, he didn’t feel the need to explain why, but changed the subject back to Tracy and Trinity. “What they have between them is what they have everywhere that you have chicks. You know, jockeying for position, one takes something wrong and the sh*t hits the fan and then it’s on. You have a bunch of girls up in New York and I can’t tell you [about] the b*tching, bickering, everything..it’s just a bunch of crap. It’s just women in general. That’s what they do when they have a bunch of other women around them that’s kind of impeding on their territory, they start getting a little crazy”. He did, however, put over Nidia saying she was “one of the boys” and that he’d love for her to come to TNA.
