Guns' 'Democracy' release date only a rumor

Earlier today, Blabbermouth.com posted that the Web site Pause & Play was reporting Geffen Records finally has a release date for the long-delayed Guns N’ Roses album, “Chinese Democracy” (Nov. 29, 2005). It has turned out to be a rumor and nothing more: the unofficial GnR site Here Today, Gone to Hell (a good source for current Guns N’ Roses information) is reporting the release date was not set and the story has since been pulled from Pause & Play’s site.

Whenever released, “Chinese Democracy” will feature Guns N’ Roses’ first new music since “Oh My God,” the group’s contribution to the soundtrack for the 1999 movie “End of Days.” The band’s last studio album was the covers CD, “The Spaghetti Incident?” released in 1993. A Guns N’ Roses greatest hits package released last year has sold over 2 million copies in the United States.
