[WWE] WWE.com and the Strangest Story of the Year

Archive

WWE.com has been announcing talent releases all week, with over a dozen wrestlers and divas being let go over the past few days.

Continuing the trend of WWE.com looking and feeling like a wrestling news site, David Agostino has posted interviews with Jackie and Charlie, Matt Morgan and a “no comment” from Billy Kidman. Yes, interviews with FOUR RECENTLY RELEASED SUPERSTARS.

Plus, the following story has just been posted:

WWE.com has learned that the meeting between Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon has ended. On his way out of WWE Headquarters, Lesnar had the following to say about the meeting:

“Both Vince and I vented, and I think we both feel better about the possibility of a deal being made. But there is no deal yet.”

When contacted for a response, the Chairman’s office simply stated “no comment.”

The full Brock Lesnar story via WWE.com can be found here. There has been no word on whether or not the Brock situation will be discussed on air on tonight’s Smackdown, which was taped on Tuesday but could have added information in post-production if WWE wanted to use this story as a way to drive more people online.

When you add that to the fact that the JBL-Blue Meanie “real-life” issues were recently reported here, WWE.com’s format has definitely taken an interesting turn of late.
