1Wrestling.com and other IWC sites are reporting that Paul Heyman has been named head writer of this week’s TV show for Ohio Valley Wrestling, the WWE developmental promotion from which Jim Cornette was recently relieved of his duties. When Cornette was recently on hiatus, Tommy Dreamer, Lance Storm and Al Snow were among those penning the programs. No word yet on whether or not this is a permanent move.
In a follow-up, PWTorch.com is reporting that Cornette will still work behind the scenes for OVW, but not on camera or booking TV matches. He will help book live events and do promotions for OVW head Danny Davis.
