Also on RAW, Roddy Piper and Matt Hardy made surprise appearances, a promo ran teasting the debut of a new wrestler The Bogeyman, two matches were announced for Summerslam and NYC-teacher-turned-wrestler Matt Striker participated in the Kurt Angle Invitational for the second time.
