Marvel-ous Writer Takes The Helm Of Galactica

Runnemede, NJ, July 19, 2005 – Dynamic Forces Inc., the parent company of Dynamite Entertainment announced today its agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Product Group to produce comics based on the new SCI FI Channel Battlestar Galactica series. The comic series is tentatively scheduled to launch 4th Quarter 2005 with writer Greg Pak penning the ongoing series.

” Greg [Pak] is a creator at the top of his game,” explained Dynamite Entertainment Spokesperson J. Allen. “Having read and reviewed his proposed first year’s worth of stories, he has an in-depth understanding of what has made this new Battlestar such a success. A busy writer and movie maker, we are very lucky to have him on the BSG comic team.”

The creative look of the series will be based on the hit SCI FI show with details on the series artist, launch date and promotional efforts soon to follow.

ABOUT GREG PAK:

Greg Pak is an award-winning writer and director whose first feature film, Robot Stories, starring Tamlyn Tomita and Sab Shimono, played in 75 festivals, won 35 awards, screened theatrically across the country, and is now available on DVD from Kino International. Greg’s feature screenplay Rio Chino won the Pipedream Screenwriting Award at the 2002 IFP Market and a Rockefeller Media Arts Fellowship in 2003. Greg wrote the screenplay for the feature film MVP, which premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. Greg is now writing Famous Long Ago for Antidote Films and several projects for Marvel, including the X-Men: Phoenix – Endsong mini-series.

Greg edits FilmHelp.com and AsianAmericanFilm.com. He was the cinematographer of The Personals, an Academy Award winning short documentary, and was recently named one of 25 Filmmakers to Watch by Filmmaker Magazine. Greg studied political science at Yale University, history at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and film production at the NYU graduate film program. He is represented by Kara Baker of the Gersh Agency, New York and Sandra Lucchesi of the Gersh Agency, Los Angeles.
