[TNA] SpikeTV Deal Notes, Status of Former WWE Talent, D’Amore, Joe & More

Archive

– TNA is reportedly paying for their time slot and production costs for their new timeslot on SpikeTV. Many of the recent WWE releases will be available after their no-compete clauses expire in early October, and there is a lot of pressure in TNA to not increase spending until they are on TV. It will obviously be very important for the company to show good ratings on Spike and increased buyrates for PPVs after the Spike debut.

– While there were mixed views backstage at TNA about bringing in Samoa Joe, the 7/17 match vs. Sabin really turned heads in a positive direction.

– Scott D’Amore is keeping himself off of TV so he can concentrate on his booking duties.

– The promotion is set on going with Jeff Jarrett as the focal point of the show.
